Circle Pattern into a Beanie

Needle: 3.5mm
Diameter: 6 to 6.5’’

1. Make 4 chains, slip stich to form a ring.


2. Make 2 chains, in the circle centre form 7 half double crochet stitches, slip stitch to
form the base of the circle (Note: the first 2 chains are counted as 1 HDC stitch [ i.e
to form 8 stitches totally]
3. Make 1 PS in each space. To form 8 puff stitches.
4. in the same space below make 2 puff stirches in the next space make 2…likewise (i.e
2, 2, 2) [i.e to form total of 16 stitches.]
5. Make 1 Puff stitch in first space,next space 2 PS (i.e.1PS, 2PS 1 PS, 2 PS 1 PS…… to
get a total of 24 stitches., form slip stitch
6. Make 1 PS in space below, next space 1 PS, 3rd 2 PS… Likewise, (i.e 1,1,2,1,1,2...end
with slip stitch. (total count of 32 stitches)
7. Make 1PS, next 1PS, 3RD space 1 PS, 2 PS,.... Like wise (i.e 1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2…). Form
slip stitch in end. (total count of 40 stitches)
8. Make 1 PS, next 1 PS, next 1Ps, next 1 Ps, next 2 PS… LiKewise (i.e
1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2..) form slip stitch in end. (total count of 48 stitches.)
9. From 7th row upto 15 to 16th row continue 1 Puff stitch in each space. (i.e 48
stitches each row.)
10. For the BAND : 16th row make one single crochet right around both in small and big
spaces till end, form slip stitch.
11. Continue the same till about 4 to 5 rows till the band is enough to cover up the
forehead completely.
NOTE: for a bigger head size increase stitches upto 56, i.e row 7 onwards.
