Little Kitty Crochet Pattern

Materials:
- worsted yarn (I use simply soft) Purple/Red
- polyester fiber filling
- tapestry needle and stitch marker
- one pair of 9mm safety eyes
Hook: size 3.5mm E hook

Terms:
sc sc = single crochet, sl st = slip stitch, fo = fasten off/finish,
ch = chain, st = stitch, bsc = back loop only single crochet,
dec = decrease / make 1 single crochet over next two stitches,
inc = increase / make 2 single crochet on the same stitch

Approx. 3.5” tall ^^

Let’s begin with kitty color (here I use purple)…

Chain 10+1 (total 11 chains).

Round 1: *1sc* 9 times, *3sc* in next chain, turn to other side of chain and continue with
*1sc* 8 times, then *2sc* last, sl st to the first single crochet to form a round, chain 1.
(total 22 single crochet stitches)

Round 2: make 1 single crochet in each stitch, then slip stitch to the first sc, ch 1. (total 22sts).

Round 3: *1sc* in each stitch for next 10 sts, *2c* in next stitch, *1sc* in each stitch for next
10 sts, then *2sc* in the last stitch, DO NOT SLIP STITCH, put the STITCH MARKER at the last
single crochet stitch (total 24 sts).
*** starting next round, DO NOT SLIP STITCH, do continues rounds until indicated. ***

Round 4: repeat *1 sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next stitch* 6 times (total 30 sts), move your marker.
Round 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: make 1sc in each stitch (total 30 sts), move your marker!!
Round 10: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc over next 2 st (decrease) * 6 times (total 24), move marker.
Round 11: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc over next 2sts (decrease) * 6 times (total 18), move marker.

*** now is good time to put in the safety eyes between round 7/8, six stitches apart.***

Round 12: repeat *1sc, 1sc over next 2 sts (decrease) * 6 times (total 12), move marker.

NECK…
Round 13: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next stitch* 4 times
(total 16 sts), move marker.
Round 14: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next stitch* 4
times (total 20), move marker.

*** stuff the head with fiber-poly filling ***

BODY...

Round 15: make 1 sc in each stitch around (total 20), move marker.
Round 16: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next stitch* 4 times (total 24), move marker.

*** to make tail on the RIGHT side do this part ***

Round 17R: make 1 sc in each next 6 stitches, then repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next st
* 2 times, then make 1 sc in each next 6 stitches (total 26), move marker.
Round 18R: do 1sc 5 times, 2sc in next stitch, *1sc 6 times, 2sc in next stitch* 2 times, then do
1sc 5 times with 2sc in last stitch (total 30 sts), move marker.

*** to make tail on the LEFT side do this part ***

Round 17L: do *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next st * , then make 1 sc in each next 12 stitches,
next do *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 2sc in next st * (total 26), move marker.
Round 18L: do *1sc 6 times, 2sc in next stitch* once , then *1sc 5 times with 2sc in next stitch*
2 times, next do *1sc 6 times, 2sc in next stitch* once (total 30 sts), move marker.

Continue to the bottom…

Round 19, 20, 21: make 1sc in each stitch (total 30 sts), move your marker!!
Round 22: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc, 1sc over next 2 sts (DEC) * 6 times (total 24), move marker.
Round 23: repeat *1sc, 1sc, 1sc over next 2sts (DEC) * 6 times (total 18), move marker.
Round 24: repeat *1sc, 1sc over next 2 sts (DEC) * 6 times (total 12), stuff filling for your body
(do not stuff too firm otherwise the cat wont sit straight), take out the marker.
Last round 25: repeat decrease *1sc over next 2stitches* for 6 times, slip stitch then fasten off
(fo), leave a long tail of yarn, once you finish the bottom using your tapestry needle to draw
your remaining yarn up to the side of ear and form the shape of two ears then hide the rest of
yarn inside the kitty!!

TAIL…
Chain 12+1, single crochet on the last 2nd chain, and make 1 sc in every chain all the way back
to the first chain and fasten off then sew to the body, hide the remaining yarn.

Use a little bit of white yarn to embroid kitty’s nose.

Use a piece of red yarn to tie a bow around the neck.
