Body & arms
these consist of 2 crochet hexagons, so crochet the pattern below times 2.

Note: the hexagon that you are going to crochet will be a bit "bumpy", no worries, it’s supposed to. When
you fold the hexagon into the body and arms, you’ll see i twill all be fine!

Please note: the starting chain / ring counts as round 1.
In the end you crochet a total of 6 rounds with dc , with the 1st round being the starting ring of chain,
followed by 5 rounds with dc.

(with white)
Rnd. 1: ch 5 and join with a SL to form a ring
Rnd. 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc throughout), 2dc, ch3, *3 dc, ch 3 * x 5 and finish with a SLST in top of
ch3. (you now have 6 sides with each 3dc and 3ch on the corner)
Rnd. 3: ch3, *1 dc in each dc, (2dc, ch3, 2dc in ch 3 space) repeat from * 5 times , join with slst
(you now have 6 x 7 = 42 dc with 3ch on the corners)
Rnd. 4-6: repeat row 3

At the end you have a total amount of 6 rounds (1st round is the ch5 into a ring and 5 rows with dc).
At the corners (3ch-spaces) you crochet each time: (2dc, ch3, 2dc)
At the borders you crochet each time: 1dc in every dc from the previous round.

Rnd. 4 = 66 dc (6 sides with each 11 dc)
Rnd. 5 = 90 dc (6 sides with each 15 dc)
Rnd. 6 = 114 dc (6 sides with each 19 dc) change color to Gold.

Now you are going to crohet a golden border with single crochet.
Rnd. 7: (with gold) 1 sc on each dc from previous row, 4sc in every corner.
Fasten off leaving a long tail (enough to sew the arms together later on)

You now have 2 hexagons with 6 corners.

(the hexagon on the picture is just an example. The purple hexagon has 1 row
more than Elvis’s body)

Fold both hexagons as seen in the pictures below.
Make sure the tail (gold) on the hexagon is between point 1 and 6. This way the “seam” and the tail are at
the bottom of the arm where you can start closing the arm/sleeve.

photo 1 photo 2

Put point 6 on point 1.
Put point 5 on point 2.
Put point 4 on point 3.

Put both halves together at the red-dotted line (one in opposite direction) and sew the back together from
bottom to top (until the middle cvhain in the corner)

Repeat this at the front, starting at the bottom, but stop when you reach 2/3 of the body. The rest is not
attached tot each other because it will later on become the folded flaps on the jacket.

Do NOT close the part on the shoulders yet, FIRST you have to crochet a granny square to put in the jacket.

(with skin-tone)
crochet a granny square exactly like the one in the picture below using the diagram below.
A beginning chain of 4ch formed into a ring and an additional 5 rows of dc.

Put the square into the jacket from below and make sure the right side is facing you.

Make sure the bottom of the square and the bottom of the jacket
are on the same line.

Attach white yarn, at the back in the middle.

First crochet in BLO of the golden yarn only.

Rnd. 8: (with white)
ch3 (counts as first dc) , 12 dc BLO.
continue by crocheting through the BLO from golden yarn AND both loops from the
skintone-yarn (see picture below)

the 13th dc goes into the golden backloop AND the ch2-space.

Continue with 20dc through both the golden back-loop and both
skintone loops.

The next dc goes into the golden backloop and the ch2-space.
The square is now attached to the jacket with 22 stitches.

Continue to the back of the jacket with 13dc BLO. Close round with
a SLST and change color to gold at the same time.
DO NOT CUT OF THE WHITE YARN!

you now have: 13 BLO dc + 22 dc + 13 BLO dc = 48 dc total .

Rnd. 9: (with gold)
sc 48 (48)
change to white by using this color to complet the last stitch. Fasten off the golden yarn.
Rnd. 10: (with white)
ch3 (counts as 1st dc) , BLO 47 dc. (48).

You now have something like this.

as you can see i myself forgot to crochet BLO in round 10. Therefor the
lowest gold border looks a bit different then it should have. If you
crocheted in BLO, it shoudl look similar to the upper golden border.

Each leg will be 24 stitches.
Place a stitchmarker through both stitch 1 and stitch 24.
Place another stitchmarker through both stitch 25 and stitch 48.

Back to the jacket.
Put the hand into the sleeve as shown in the picture.
Use the long tail (gold) to sew from the bottom of the sleeve towards the hand and shoulderpart.
Sew all the way through the sleeve and hand when you come to that point.

Continue to the top of the jacket (shoulder) and sew back and front
together. Do not sew together the last 2 stitches of each side. The 8
stitches that remain unworked are used for attaching the head later on.

When you’ve reached the part with the skintone square, you have to sew
through the inside loops of the golden yarn and both loops of the
skintone yarn. This way the square will stay in its place.
Repeat this at the other side of the jacket.
