You will need:
Yarn: Yarn Art Jeans (160m/50 g, 55% cotton, 45% acrylic) 07*2, 62 or 01*2, 36.
Alize Cotton Gold Hobby (165m/50g, 55% cotton, 45% acrylic) 393,
Alize Baby Cotton (270m/100g, 50% cotton, 50% acrylic) 184, 33.
Gazzal Baby Cotton (165m/50g, 60% cotton, 40% acrylic) 3418, 3425.
Thick plastic from package or a placemat,
2.25 and 2 mm crochet hook (you can use another hook size, it depends on your
density),
tapestry needle,
fiberfill,
hot glue gun

htr – half treble crochet

Here we make a heart shaped Milfei Cake, but you can make it in any number
shape. To do this, draw a mould of number about 5 cm thick
and crochet cake layers according to this mould.

Heart shaped cake layer:
Use Yarn Art Jeans 07, 2.25 mm hook, work back and forth rows with a turning
chain in the beginning of every row.

Join yarn in heart hole, to the down

side of the chain.

Now sc around the outer contour. Inc when

Do not crochet around the inner contour.
Iron well with steam.
Make 4 pieces.

 Cut out the heart from plastic. It should be 2
mm smaller, than crocheted one.

Put the plastic heart between two crocheted

layers and sew around over the edge.

Make 2 details with plastic inside.

You need to make 30 balls. For first layer

only. And about 25 pieces for top.
This is the most boring, to make so many
small details :).
Glue cream balls to the first cake layer

First attach along the outer contour.

And now along the inner contour.

Glue the second layer on top. Be carefull,
don’t glue it all at once, because the glue
dryes fast.

Turn to the wrong side and crochet petals
through front loops. Ch 6 and 5 sc down the
chain, sl st in the next st of the round. Sl st in
the 3d loop of the round and crochet the next

First, let’s learn to crochet a rounded circle.
When we crochet a circle in a usual way, we
inc 6 times in every round. When all
increases are over each other we get a
hexagon.

To crochet a circle without angles shift incs

to 1 st left.
Work first 2 rounds as usual. In 3d round
work (1 sc, inc)*5, 2 sc, inc.
From this moment don’t pay attention
where is the the beginning and the end of
the round. Just inc in the stitch, that goes
after the increased st of previous round.

Crochet 6 rounds circle in this way.

piece. Do not stuff too firmly, macaron should not become a ball.

attach all decorations on the top of the cake.
Check it out to see the assembly order. Do not fill the entire space with
cream balls, leave some space for big details. Small details( berries, meringues)
glue on cream balls. And big pieces (flowers and macarons ) glue right onto the
base.
The cake is ready! You can change it’s shape, colors and quantity of decorations
to get different kinds of milfei cake!
