Materials:
DROPS MUSKAT from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 09, light brown
50 g colour no 12, red
50 g colour no 08, off white
50 g colour no 22, brown

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 mm – or size needed to get the first 4 rounds = approx. 6
cm in diameter.
Accessories: Some cotton wool for filling

CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc a dc row/round with 1 ch.


Replace first tr a tr row/round with 3 ch.
Finish every tr round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Finish every dc round with 1
sl st in ch from beg of round.

DECREASE TIP: Work 1 tr but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work
next tr but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook = 1 tr dec.
BERRY: All berries are worked in red.
Work 1 tr but wait with last pull through = 2 sts on hook. Work 1 tr more in same st but
wait with last pull through = 3 sts on hook. Do this 4 times in total = 5 sts on hook. Work
1 tr more in same st but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook. 1 berry =
1 tr on next row/round.

LOOPS: All loops are worked as follows in the same colour as previous round. * Work 3
ch, skip 1 st and work 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1
sl st in first ch on round.

CREAM EDGE: The cream edge is worked as follows in off white:


ROUND 1: * Work 4 ch, work 2 tr in first ch, skip 2 sts and work 1 dc in next st *, repeat
from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
ROUND 2: Fold the loops from previous round towards you and work on the back. * Work
5 ch, work 2 dtr in first ch, skip 2 sts and work 1 dc in dc from previous round *, repeat
from *-* the entire row/round and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.

PIECE OF CAKE:
Work the piece of cake back and forth at the top, then work in the round down the edge
before working back and forth again at the bottom.

TOP:
The top is worked in light brown with red berries on every other row with tr – NOTE! Make
sure not to tighten the yarn at the back of piece.
ROW 1: Work 4 ch on hook size 3 mm with light brown. READ CROCHET INFO!
ROW 2: Beg in 2nd ch from hook and work 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch. Turn piece.
ROW 3: Work 2 tr in first dc, work 1 tr in next dc, work 2 tr in last dc = 5 tr. Turn piece.
ROW 4: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 5: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in next dc, 1 BERRY - see explanation above, in next dc,
1 tr in next dc and 2 tr in last dc = 7 tr where 1 is berry. Turn piece.
ROW 6: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 7: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in every dc until last dc, 2 tr in last dc = 9 tr. Turn piece.
ROW 8: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 9: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in next dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3
dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in next dc and 2 tr in last dc = 11 tr where 2 are berries. Turn
piece.
ROW 10: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 11: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in every dc until last dc, 2 tr in last dc = 13 tr. Turn
piece.
ROW 12: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 13: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in next dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3
dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3 dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in next dc and
2 tr in last dc = 15 tr where 3 are berries. Turn piece.
ROW 14: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 15: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in every dc until last dc, 2 tr in last dc = 17 tr. Turn
piece.
ROW 16: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 17: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in next dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3
dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3 dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the
next 3 dc, 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in next dc and 2 tr in last dc = 19 tr where 4 are
berries. Turn piece.
ROW 18: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 19: Work 2 tr in first dc, 1 tr in each of the next 8 dc, 2 tr in next dc, 1 tr in each of
the next 8 dc and 2 tr in last dc = 22 tr. Fasten off. Turn piece.
ROW 20: (= WS) Switch to off white, hold piece with short side up and beg with 1 sl st in
last row with dc on the right side of piece. Work 4 ch, work 2 tr in first ch, skip forward
and work 1 dc in first tr on previous row (= short side of piece), * work 4 ch, work 2 tr in
first ch, skip 2 tr and work 1 dc in next tr *, repeat 7 more times but finish last time with
1 dc in the outermost st on the last row with dc on the left side of piece = 9 loops. Turn

ROW 21: Fold the row with loops towards you and work on the back, * work 5 ch, work 2
dtr in first ch, work 1 dc in next dc from previous row *, repeat from *-* 8 more times but
finish with 1 sl st in first ch from previous row = 9 loops. Fasten off.

EDGE:
Then work around the top and down the sides as follows in light brown:
ROUND 22: (= RS) Beg in right side of short side in the first free tr from row 19. Work 1
dc in every free tr and 1 ch over every dc from previous row with loops on short side. On
the long side work 1 ch over dc from row with loops and work 2 dc in outermost st on
every row with tr and 1 dc in outermost st on every row with dc. At the tip work in the
underside of dc on row 2 as follows: 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in last dc. Then
work along the other long side the same way and finish round with 1 ch and 1 sl st in first
dc = 78 sts in total.
ROUND 23: Work 1 tr in every dc and 1 tr in every ch from previous round = 78 tr.
ROUND 24: Work LOOPS - see explanation above.
ROUND 25: Switch to brown and work 2 tr in every free tr from round 23 = 78 tr.
ROUND 26: Work 1 tr in every tr.
ROUND 27: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 28: Switch to light brown and work 2 dc in every free tr from round 26 = 78 dc.
ROUND 29: Work 1 tr in each of the first 2 dc, * 1 berry in next dc, 1 tr in each of the
next 5 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round until 4 dc remain, work 1 berry in next dc
and 1 tr in each of the next 3 dc = 78 tr where 13 are berries.
ROUND 30: Work 1 dc in every tr = 78 dc.
ROUND 31: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 32: Switch to brown and work 2 tr in every free dc from round 30.
ROUND 33: Work LOOPS.
ROUND 34: Switch to off white and work 2 dc in every free tr from round 32 = 78 dc.
ROUND 35-36: Work CREAM EDGE – see explanation above, around the entire piece of
cake = 26 loops on each round. Fasten off.

BASE:
From RS fold cream edge towards you. Beg in the right corner of short side in the first dc
on round 34. READ DECREASE TIP!
ROW 37: With off white work 1 sl st and 3 ch in first dc, 1 tr in each of the next 2 free dc,
2 tr in each of the next 8 free dc, 1 tr in each of the last 3 free dc = 22 tr. Turn piece.
ROW 38: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 39: Work 1 tr in first dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in each of the next 7 dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in each
of the next 7 dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in last dc = 19 tr. Turn piece.

ROW 50: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 51: Work 1 tr in first dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in every dc until the last 3 dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in
last dc = 7 tr. Turn piece.
ROW 52: Work 1 dc in every tr. Turn piece.
ROW 53: Work 1 tr in first dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in next dc, dec 1 tr, 1 tr in last dc = 5 tr. Turn
piece.
ROW 54: Work 1 dc in every tr. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last st and fasten all
yarns on the inside.

ASSEMBLY: Fasten the base to one long side with neat little stitches, fill the piece of cake
with some cotton and continue to sew around the tip and down the other long side.
