Hello! I like creating different characters and bringing


them to life with the help of my magic crochet hook.

Materials needed:
1. Yarn Art Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acryl, 50g/160m
(weight 2 Fine yarn, 1,76 oz/174 yds), next colors:

•violet № 72
•orange № 77
•turquoise № 33
•black № 53
•beige № 07
•white № 01
•some yellow yarn for décor № 35
2. Crochet hook 2 mm or 2.25 mm (US: B, UK:14)
3. Fiberfill, thick sewing needle, pins.
If you follow this advice your gnomes will be 10 cm/3.9
inch.

Abbreviations:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase, 2 sc in the next sc
dec – decrease, single crochet 2 stitches together
(16) – number of stitches in a round
(inc, sc)*N – repeat N times
BLO – back loop only
FLO – front loop only
Finish the round in an invisible way: thread the tail of
yarn through the needle, skip one stitch and guide the yarn
into the next stitch as shown in the photo. Insert the needle
back in the same stitch where the yarn tail is coming from.
Pull the yarn and fasten the obtained stitch on the wrong
side of detail.

Hat + Body
For hat use violet, turquoise or orange colors.

Start with color yarn.


Work in continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR

Join black yarn (don’t cut the color one):

Stuff the detail evenly and firmly
with the fiberfill.

Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail.


Close the top using a needle, hide the
tail into the body.

Nose
With beige yarn.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in the MR, go on in
continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2-3: sc in each stitch around 2
rounds
Don’t stuff.

Arms
Start with color yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR, go on in rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2: 6 sc
Join white yarn (cut off color one):
Rnd 3-4: sc in each stitch around 2 rounds.
Don’t stuff. Fold so that the stitches of the last round
line each other.
Crochet the opposite stitches with 2-3 sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail.

Sew arms and nose to the body as shown in the photo.

Embroider the buckle on the hat with yellow yarn.
