Flower Blanket – Popcorn Flower

Hook size: 4.5mm for all parts.

Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK in Candy floss, Fondant, Bright Pink and White

Gauge is 17 stitches x 10 rows = 10cm. (Rows of DC).
Square measures 15cm x15cm .
Popcorn Stitch – Make 5DC in the same stitch. Remove hook from stitch and Insert your hook from front to back under the top 2
loops of the first double crochet of the group. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch. CH1 to secure
ST.

Popcorn Flower – Use SUNSHINE

1. CH2. Make 8SC in the 1st CH from hook. (8 stitches).

2. (CH3 (Counts as 1st DC of the PC), PC). Make a PC in each ST around. SLST into the 1st PC made to join. Fasten off yarn. (8 PC
made).
3. Join WHITE in between any PC stitches of the previous round. (CH3 (Counts as 1st DC of the PC), 2PC). CH1. Make (2PC, CH1)
in between each of the PC from the previous row. SLST in 1st PC made to join. Fasten off yarn. (16PC made).
4. Join SPRING GREEN in between any PC stitch. (CH4 – (Counts as 1st TR), TR, CH2, 2TR). * Make (3DC) in between each of the next
3 PC stitches. In between the next set of PC stitches make (2TR, CH2, 2TR). Repeat from * around. SLST in top of beginning CH4 to join.
Fasten off yarn. (Each side has 13 stitches with CH2 in each corner).

5. Join CANDY FLOSS in any ST. CH3 (counts as 1st DC). Make 1DC in each ST around with (3DC, CH3, 3DC) in the corner spaces. SLST in top
of beginning CH3 to join. Fasten off yarn. (Each side has 19DC with CH3 in each corner).

6. Join WHITE in any ST. (CH1 –counts as 1st SC). SC in each ST around with (1SC, CH2, 1SC) in the corner spaces. SLST in CH1
to join. Fasten off yarn. (Each side has 21SC with CH2 in each corner).
7. Join FONDANT in any corner ST. (CH3 – counts as 1st DC, DC, CH2, 2DC). *CH2, Skip 2 stitches, then make 1DC in each of the
following 3 stitches. Repeat from * once. CH1, Skip 1 stitch, then make 1DC in each of the following 3 stitches. CH2, skip 2
stitches, make 1DC in the following 3 stitches. CH2 and skip the last 2 stitches. Make (2DC, CH2, 2DC) in the corner space.
Repeat from * around for the following sides. SLST in top of beginning CH3 to join. Fasten off yarn. (Each side has 16DC).
8. Join BRIGHT PINK in any corner space . (CH5 – counts as 1st DC and CH2, DC). *DC in the next 2 stitches. (Make 2DC in the
CH2 space. 1DC in each of the next 3 stitches) twice. Then 1DC in the CH1 space **(1DC in the next 3 stitches with 2DC in
the CH2 space) twice. 1DC in the last 2 stitches. Make (1DC, CH2, 1DC) in the corner space. Repeat from * for the
remaining sides. SLST in top of beginning CH3 to join. Fasten off yarn. (Each side has 27DC with CH2 in each corner).
