Candy Hearts Coaster

Materials: (for one coaster): Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: - 11 yards White - 7 yards Red Felt Size G (4.25mm) Crochet Hook Yarn Needle Sewing Thread and Needle Stitches Used/Abbreviations: ch = chain sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet dc = double crochet sk = skip sp = space beg = beginning Finished Size: 4 across Note: Coaster is worked in continuous rounds without joining at the end of each round. Its helpful to use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round.

Coaster:
Round 1) with white, ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, do not join round (6 sc) Round 2) 2 sc in each st around, do not join round (12 sc) Round 3) *2 sc in next st, sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, do not join round. (18 sc) Round 4) *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts*, repeat from * to * around, do not join round. (24 sc) Round 5) *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts*, repeat from * to * around. Do not join round (30 sc) Round 6) *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts*, repeat from * to * around. Do not join round (36 sc) Round 7) *sl st in next st, ch 2, sk next st*, repeat from * to * around. End off white after last st sl. (18 ch-2 spaces, 18 sl sts). Round 8) with red, join with a sl st in any ch-2 space, ch 1, (sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, sc) in same ch-2 space as joining, work (sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, sc) in each ch-2 space around, skipping all the sl sts between ch-2 spaces, join with a sl st to beg sc.
