GENERAL INFORMATION:
For blocking crochet work, dampen
piece with water or a starching
solution; arrange and shape on a
padded surface pinning in place with
rust-proof stainless steel pins; allow
to dry completely, then remove pins.
For blocking with steam, pin work
in place and hold steam iron directly
above crochet (do not touch surface of
crochet with iron) applying steam to
relax thread; let dry and remove pins.
For starching crochet work to desired
stiffness, prepare powdered laundry
starch according to the hot starch
method in package directions.
For speedier drying, blow warm air
on crochet work with a hand-held
hair dryer or warm an oven to 150-
200 degrees, turn oven off and place
crochet inside; if needed, remove
crochet, rewarm oven and replace
crochet until dry.

quickly, reheat with a blow dryer to
soften it enough to work with).

bottom of Ruffle up around stem and
wrap a separate strand of dk. blue
thread tightly around rnd 9 several
times and fasten to secure gathers.
Bend other end of stem over about 1/2"
forming a handle.
FINISHING
Style doll’s hair using hairpins and
hairspray (if end of pin is too long,
cut off to a length that can be hidden
in doll’s hair).
Place Hat on doll’s head.
Place handle of Parasol in one hand
