- 1 dc group consists of 3 dc

1. Start with a magic ring. Chain 3 (replaces 1 dc). Crochet 2 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc in the ring. Tighten
the ring slightly.

2. Turn your work and ch 3 (replaces 1 dc). Crochet 2 dc in the first stitch, so you have 1 dc gr
with 3 dc in it. Chain 1, and now crochet in the chain space. Crochet *1 dc gr, ch 3, 1 dc gr, ch 1*.
Crochet 1 dc gr in the 3rd ch from the previous row.

3. Turn your work and ch 3 (replaces 1 dc). Crochet 2 dc in the first stitch, and ch 1. Crochet 1 dc
gr and ch 1 in the next chain space. In the chain space (the tip of the shawl) crochet *1 dc gr, ch
3, 1 dc gr, ch 1*. Crochet 1 dc gr and ch 1 in the next chain space, and finish with 1 dc gr in the
3rd ch from the previous row.

4. Turn the work and chain 3 (replaces 1 dc). Crochet 2 dc in the first stitch and chain 1. Crochet
*1dc group, and chain 1* in the next chain space. In the chain space (the tip of the shawl)
crochet *1 dc group, chain 3, 1 dc group, chain 1*. Crochet *1 dc group, chain 1* in the next
chain space, and finish with 1 dc group i the 3rd chain from the previous row.

Repeat these instructions until you have 57 rows in total or until you reach the desired length.
