Crochet pattern
Abbreviations:

Sc – single crochet
Hdc – Half double crochet
BLO – Back loops only
Inc – increase (crochet two sc in the same stitch)
Dec – decrease (crochet two sc together)
( ) x6 – Repeat 6 times what is inside ( )
( ) – Total stitches on the row
Important observations:
- This pattern is worked in spiral rounds (do not turn, do not join).
- Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round. Move the marker up each time you
start a new round.
- Work all the project using both loops of the stitch unless otherwise noted, or the work will get crooked.
- Insert stuffing on the body with the body standing with the belly on the table to flatten it. If you fill it with
too much stuffing the belly it end up rounded.
Assembly:
- Put the dino lying down on a table and press it tightly to flatten
out the belly (photo)
- Pin the front legs between rows 21 and 22 of the body and sew
them.
- Pin the back legs between rows 34 to 36 of the body and sew
them.
- Looking from above, mark the middle of the body. Pin the
spikes between the following rows starting with the one nearest
to the neck:
1 small – rows 21 to 24 - 1 big – rows 26 to 30
1 big – rows 32 to 36 - 1 small – rows 38 to 41
Leave one row between spikes. Make sure they are aligned to
the center of the body and sew them.
- Embroider the eyes between rows 9 and 10, 2 stitches length.
For your reference, the eyes have a difference of 8 stitches between them on row 9 and 14 stitches
between on row 10.
- Apply blush on the cheeks. The cheeks can also be made with ink or felt.
Enjoy and take a nap with your cute baby dino! I hope you like the pattern!
