 Traditional supply chain: among so many types of supply chains, this one is
mainly used by small companies or by companies that do not require a very
complex operation or a great control of their production, since decisions are
made independently by the people involved in the manufacturing process. This
type of supply chain can result in a lack of control over decisions, leading to
poorly functioning production processes.
 Shared supply chain: this is one of the types of supply chain where decisions
are shared, since the people involved in the manufacture of the product also
make their decisions individually, but they have a defined database where
information can be shared, allowing access to it for decisions made during the
process.
 Synchronized supply chain: in this chain, all stages of product manufacturing
are synchronized, i.e., it is tracked from the entry of raw materials to the arrival
of the product at the warehouse as a finished product ready for shipment or
sale. It is worth mentioning that this type of chain must have a detailed
technological development and incorporate it into the information systems, to
allow the creation of a logistics network where anyone can access the changes
that have been incorporated by each person responsible for the manufacture of
a product.
 Complex supply chain: includes all the organizations involved in all the
interactions of products, services, finance and information from the last
supplier to the last customer. the organization of the different types of supply
chains is designed following a procedure as follows:

- Definition of the service to the final customer.

- Organization of alliances with partners.
- Determination of the main parameters of the organization of the chain
integration.
