CRITICAL THINKING ASSIGNMNET (LocT 1011)

 These are group assignments for the maximum number of five students.
 The submission date for these assignment will be when the class is
resumed at the first day class
 You have to use your module for your answer, but avoid copy past and
make it paraphrase, simple coherent, and neat.
 You can do these assignment on hand writing or Microsoft Office. But,
the hand writing should be readable.

ASSIGNMNET ONE (15%)

1. List at least 4 general features of philosophy, and briefly explain each of
them
2. What is mind, and what is its relation to the body? Is the question which
is raised by Metaphysics in general and Anthropological Aspect in
particular. Thus, is mind more fundamental than body, with body
depending on mind, or vice versa? Consequently, take and discus your
position
3. Explain how we can distinguish argumentative passages from no-
argumentative passages.
4. Discuss briefly the similarities and differences between deductive and
inductive arguments. Support your discussion with your own examples.
 5. Discuss briefly the similarities and differences between valid and invalid
arguments, and sound and unsound arguments. Support your
discussion with your own examples.
6. Discuss briefly the similarities and differences between strong and weak
arguments, and cogent and uncogent arguments. Support your
discussion with your own examples.

7. Discuss briefly the major types of definitions.
8. Discuss briefly the similarities and differences between extensional and
intentional definitional techniques. Support your discussion with your
own examples.
9. Discuss the standard rules of a lexical definition. Support your
discussion with your own examples.
