3rd Arctic Science Ministerial Meeting, 2021 was organised by Japan and Iceland. It was virtually hosted
by Japan. The meeting was organised for discussing research and cooperation in the Arctic region. The
theme of the meeting was "Knowledge for a Sustainable Arctic". Dr. Harsh Vardhan led the Indian team
with secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Scientists from MoES and NCPOR as participants in the
meeting. Dr. Harsh Vardhan shared India's vision and long-term plans for research, work and
cooperation in the Arctic region with the stakeholders.
