COMUNICADO: Las clases virtuales son de carácter obligatorio por disposición del Gobierno de la
Nación, por lo que cada alumno debe trabajar en la misma. Todo lo que se realice será plasmado
también en la carpeta.

Considerando el resultado positivo del diagnóstico, y considerando la última clase presencial la

siguiente actividad corresponde al tema PASADO SIMPLE.

1) Read again the Past Simple theory from your notebook. (nota: recuerda que el pasado
simple tiene 2 tipos de verbos, revisa la teoría antes de empezar)
2) Read the following text and highlight all the verbs in Past Simple. (Lea y resalte los verbos
en pasado).
3) Make a chart with the infinitive form and the past form of the verbs. (regulars and
irregulars)

A great weekend.
I had a great weekend. On Friday afternoon, I finished work at 5 PM. I went home and took a
shower. Then I went to see a couple of my friends at a bar downtown. 
We had a couple of drinks and a nice talk. 
Tom told us about his new job, and Jim told us about his new girlfriend. After a while, we went to a
restaurant and had pizza. I went to bed late that night, but I was very happy.
On Saturday morning I went running in the park. I ran 5 kilometers, and then came home.
After that, I met my girlfriend for lunch. We went to a Thai restaurant near my house. I love Thai
food!
I spent the evening with my girlfriend, watching TV on the sofa.
The next day, I got up and caught the train to my parents’ town. I usually go to see my parents on
Sundays, at least twice a month.
My mom usually makes a roast, and we go for a walk in the park or in the country after lunch.
This weekend was a bit different, though. My parents took me out for a nice lunch, because it was
my birthday. After lunch, we took a walk (as usual) and then I caught the train back to London.

Desarrollo

4) Un gran fin de semana Tuve un gran fin de semana. El viernes por la tarde, terminé el trabajo a
las 5 PM. Me fui a casa y me di una ducha. Luego fui a ver a un par de mis amigos en un bar del
centro. Tomamos un par de copas y una buena charla. Tom nos contó sobre su nuevo trabajo y Jim
nos contó sobre su nueva novia. Después de un tiempo, fuimos a un restaurante y comimos pizza.
Me acosté tarde esa noche, pero estaba muy feliz. El sábado por la mañana fui a correr al parque.
Corrí 5 kilómetros y luego volví a casa. Después de eso, conocí a mi novia para almorzar. Fuimos a
un restaurante tailandés cerca de mi casa. ¡Amo la comida tailandesa! Pasé la noche con mi novia,
viendo la televisión en el sofá. Al día siguiente, me levanté y tomé el tren hacia la ciudad de mis
padres. Usualmente voy a ver a mis padres los domingos, al menos dos veces al mes. Mi mamá
generalmente hace un asado, y después del almuerzo salimos a caminar al parque o al campo. Sin
embargo, este fin de semana fue un poco diferente. Mis padres me llevaron a un buen almuerzo,
porque era mi cumpleaños. Después del almuerzo, dimos un paseo (como siempre) y luego tomé
el tren de regreso a Londres.
