Subject- Structural Analysis-III

Q. 16. Analyze a two span continuous beam ABC with AB= 8m and BC= 4m. The
moment of inertia (I) of BC is half that the moment of inertia of AB. The beam AB is
subjected to an UDL of 20 KN/m throughout the span and the beam BC is subjected to
a concentrated loading of 60 KN at the centre of the span. The support conditions are
– A is fixed, B and C are supported on rollers. Calculate the reactions in support B if
the support sinks by 10 mm. Assume EI=4000 KN/m2.

Q.17. Analyze the frame given in the figure and find the moments at supports A, B &
C using flexibility method.
Q.18. Analyze the grid shown in figure and find the member displacement for each
member.

Q.19. Analyze the two span continuous beam using flexibility approach where E & I
are constant throughout
the beam.

Q.20. Analyze the two span continuous beam ABC using flexibility approach.
