Answer the following questions.  

 
1.  How would you look at the economy of our country I the next 10 to 20 years
based on what you know about it at the present times? (20 pts) 

In my own perspective, the economic progress of the Philippines has decreased, which is
greatly caused by the virus we are all facing globally. Due to this, number of people
unemployed increase and Our country’s GCP has also decreased, since limited people
depending on their current jobs and professions are only allowed to work in our current
situation such as those related to medical. Aside from the virus, the advancement and
development in terms of technology has also affected the economy of our country. The
machineries invented caused for other people to lose their jobs since a machine can do a lot
better than a job of a person and is more precise. In addition, there is also corruption
happening, mostly taking advantage of the current situation.

For the next 10 to 20 years, the economy of the Philippines is uncertain, there is a
possibility for progress but there is also a possibility that it will become worse than what it is in
the present. In my own assumption, the advancement in technology will rapidly increase, which
will eventually lead to an increased number of people unemployed. It will hopefully be
prevented if our leaders will exert the best efforts and ideas providing these people an
alternative to earned money. But considering the possibility of corruption, particularly the in
our government, still present in our system even after all the years past, it will lead for the poor
to become poorer and the rich will be richer. But I’m hoping for the better future of the
Philippines.

2. Do you think being in a Union can help our economy? Explain further. (20 pts) 

For me, it is a YES. Mostly because of the benefits we can get by being in a union which
can be considered as a great help. The benefits include negotiation for a better pay, a voice for
own rights if a worker is working in a harsh condition, providing training for new skills,
protection if a worker is being fired without a valid reason, providing advice and support in
terms of career decisions and work-related issues, and they could also seek for additional
benefits for their workers such as medical and health assistance. All of the benefits mentioned
above is a great factor for workers, which greatly contributed in the progress of its own
economy, to have the perseverance to work harder and increase their level of productivity.

2. Following the Information Revolution at the present times and the abilities that it has
instilled in you, where do you think do, we go from here? (20 pts) 

With the information revolution mentioned, we can conclude that there is a positive
side such as obtaining an easiest and quicker way of communication, connecting, and doing
business globally with the technology we have in the present. However, there is also a negative
side, unfortunately, people who lose their job and is affected by advancement in technology
has no choice but to look for other jobs. In my own opinion, maybe we can also development
by taking advantage of the progress and advancement present. It is known that people are now
using social media platform for their business and as a way of earning money. For example,
using YouTube and producing entertaining vlogs. Since YouTube is also some kind of
entertainment to other people, they mostly visit YouTube and find these vlogs created by the
influencers. The moment they watched these videos, the creators earned money by the
number of views they have gained and at the same time the viewer enjoyed their time.
