How to prepare for competition

8 August 2021 it was definitely a significant and tremendous occasional day for whole
Malaysian in front of television as Azizul Awang , the Malaysians Olympian succeed to win a silver
medal in the final round of Keiring bicycle tournament in Tokyo. The whole Malaysian were in high
spirit and appreciate to this hero who did bring the victory and honour to Malaysia. Leading up to
competition, undoubtedly, determination and preservation is very necessary to every athletes in
order to indulge in any competitive tournament. Therefore, preparation before the tournament
began is the key to decide the performance of the athletes whether is impressive or undesirable.
According to my experience, I would like to share about the preparation should been completed for
us before the tournament began.

In my perspective, we must learn with a professional coach. Due to the financial impediment,
there are numerous young and talented athletes are practicing individually and unfamiliar with the
systematic training to enhance their skills because they haven’t enough financial sponsorship to hire
a professional coach and instruments to workout systematically. Therefore, government should
sponsor these talented athletes in order to hire a complimentary coach for them and rent an
appropriate training venues or area for a greater environment. In our highly competitive world,
effective coaching is a emphasis role in assisting the atheletes with physically and mentally
preparation in order to maximize their performance or even they could unlock a star player which
could distribute honour to our country. To further illustrate on this point, the familiar coach Chan
Beng Huat had figure out the talent of Lee Chong Wei abruptly while watching his competition since
he was just a little kid. The persuasions and motivations of the coach pursue the Olympic dream of
Dato Lee Chong Wei. There is an ample evidence indicating that the assistance is very necessary to
enhance the athletes’ foundational skills and performance. They could recommend some specialize
instructions and most effective access to overcome any shortcomings which are potential to be
occurred during the training. They also could adjust and distribute the plan to defeat the opponents
to the athletes who are indulged in the competitive tournament during pre-competition phase. In a
nutshell every athletes should been learnt with a professional in order to persist the optimal
condition and develop their skills.

In addition, anticipation and plan for the impediments is very significant for the athletes. There
is a proverb says, “Prevention is better than cure”. Visualization is very important element for an
athletes to figure out the appropriate methods and strategies to compete against the opponent. “
Anything unexpected would been happened”. We couldn’t anticipate any manipulated situation
might been occurred during the competition. Therefore, preparation for the competition is involved
expect all the potential distractions and impediments as many as we could is also necessary for the
athletes and the coach. In fact, the factors of unpredictable situations we couldn’t restricted but at
least we should consider the aggravate situations and prepare different way to overcome the tricky
troubles during the tournament. Undoubtedly, visualization and preparation psychologically is quite
necessary step in order to achieve victory in any national competitions, and overcome the resistance
and circumtances surroundings fastequely. As fastequely awareness plays an important role to
execute the appropriate and alternative response and deal with any unexpected shortcomings. To
quote an example, in the tournament of NBA, other than skills, the effective tactics also very
important for the basketball players such as, foul line plays and triple-post offense. Thus , analyze
and identify the tricky impediments is the key to overcome any unpredicted distractions and also it
shouldn’t been ignored for the athletes in every tournaments.

Moreover, progressively engaging in deliberate practices and carry out daily schedule could
bring an athletes to the peak performance. Don’t try to truant any lessons or practices even you are
very engrossing as your persistion and preservation to accomplish the practices, you will definitely
gain numerous benefits on it. As the proverb says, “Practices makes perfect.” That was also my
religion. Practise could strengthen your skills , improve techniques and refine ineffcierit movement.
For sure, learning something new means being clumsy at it initially, making errants , course-
correcting and trying it again until synchronous with others teammates. Although intellectual
understanding the concept is quite important, but we should also persist keep on execute the
physically deliberate training day by day to refine our approach and enhance our skills. Carry out the
commitment of practise could maximize the impacts of training and minimize the occurance of
mistakes by athletes in tournament because it is the only way to proficient in the skill and behaviour.
Meanwhile, we should determine to take the training concentrately and progress ourselves by
consulting to our coach. During the period of training, embark to set up an objective of your daily
practice. Establish your target and achievement that you would like to pursue in the training. It can
make you vigorous and more concentrate in the training in order to establish our confidence and
determination. “ You will reap what you saw”, although the practices definitely are bored and
exhausted , your overall performances and techniques would been improved.

Last but not emphatically least, preparation before the competition is really necessary for all
the athletes. “ Easy is not a option. No days off. Never quit. Be fearless. Talent you have naturally.
Skill is only developed by hours and hours of work.”said by Usain Bolt. The champion of table tennis
Xu Xing also had said, “ even the height is high or low, unless you are flying.” There are numerous
tricky impediments and distractions in our journey toward victory, but we shouldn’t give up as
failure actually are not terrible. Determine and get ready a enough preparation to stand up again,
then you already is a champion because you did defeat the failure. To whole my beloved
