ELIMIN-OX™

DR 900 Analytical Procedure AP-60/900

SPECIFICATIONS
Method: Colorimetric (DR 900)
Range: 180 to 6000 ± 100 ppb as ELIMIN-OX
Testing Time: 15 minutes

DESCRIPTION
The portable DR 900 colorimeter, an accurate,
simple method of colorimetric analysis, is utilized
to quickly analyze ELIMIN-OX concentration for
monitoring proper application levels. The test is
based on iron reduction chemistry and is simple to
perform. The ELIMIN-OX in the sample reduces
ferric iron to ferrous iron in direct proportion to
the ELIMIN-OX concentration. This solution then
reacts with Reagent 1 to form a purple color with
the ferrous iron.

Special Notes: Analyze sample as soon as it is collected. The temperature of the sample should be 72-82°F (22-28°C).
Do not use a copper-based sample cooler as copper interferes with this reaction. If the temperature of the sample is not in
the proper range, correct the result as follows:
EOx – [9 X (C*1.8 - 45)] = EOx TC OR EOx – [9 X (°F - 77)] = EOx TC
