Semi Cryogenic Engine Project is going to be one of the major projects of LPSC and is expected to be approved shortly. Development of the engine is highly demanding in terms of the critical technologies involved, very high operating parameters, state of the art facilities to be established, development schedule and budget. Concurrent engineering practice is one of the handy tools used by many successful projects of this kind for real time information flow, change control, online clearance of snags/deviations, meetings management, automatic generation of management information, progress monitoring etc. All these will be carried out strictly adhering to laid down security protocols. Therefore, it is planned to implement concurrent engineering practices right from the start of Semi Cryogenic Project. Accordingly Semi Cryogenic Project has procured “WRENCH COLLAB" software which is used by gsLVM3, CMSE and many other entities of VSSC. Customisation of the software will be carried out based on the requirement and feed back from the users. Hands on training for those who will be handling different areas of Semi Cryogenic Engine development is planned in LPSC Valiamala shortly.
