Large, gray, and friendly are all examples of adjectives. ™® Adjectives Modify Nouns Adjectives are added to nouns to state what kind, what color, which one, or how many. Adjectives are said to “modify” nouns and are necessary to make the meanings of sentences. clearer or more exact. % Adjectives Modify Pronoun Although less common, adjectives can also modify pronouns. 2) Different Types of Adjectives Adjectives are describing words. Langkah-langkah Pembelajaran Pertemuan ke 1-2 1, Kegiatan pendahuluan (20 menit) a. Siswa ditanya beberapa pertanyaan yang bisa membuat siswa termotivasi untuk ‘memasuki materi tentang manusia, hewan dan benda. b. Siswa ditanya tentang deskripsi salah satu hewan yaitu gajah. % Have you ever seen an elephant in the zoo? ® Can you describe its size? Is it big or little? ® How about its speed? Is it slow or fast? "What color is it? Is it pink, yellow or gray? ¢. Siswa diminta untuk mendeskripsikan seseorang, contohnya adik, kakak, ibu atau ayah. ™® Can you describe your mother, father and your siblings? "% What color is his ner eye? ® Is your father tall? ® 1s your mother’s hair curly? ® 1s your sister heavy or thin? 4. Siswa diminta untuk mendeskripsikan gambar-gambar yang ditunjukkan, tentang ukuran, bentuk atau karakternya. e. Siswa diminta untuk menyebutkan kata sifat yang sering digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan seseorang, hewan atau benda. £ Siswa diminta untuk mencari arti kata sifat yang tersedia dalam kamus. 2. Kegiatan Inti (50 menit) a. Eksplorasi a) Guru mengaitkan materi belajar dengan nilai-nilai dalam Islam. Di dalam ayat- ayat Al-Qur'an, Allah menyuruh manusia supaya memperhatikan keberagaman dan keindahan disertai seruan agar merenungkan ciptaan- ciptaan-Nya yang sangat menakjubkan, b) Siswa diperdengarkan beberapa dialog tentang deskripsi ruang Kelas, tinggi badan seseorang dan hewan, yang berisi tentang kata sifat. ©) Siswa diminta untuk memeragakan dialog dengan intonasi dan pengucapan yang benar. 4) Siswa diminta untuk mendengarkan pertanyaan yang disampaikan oleh guru, siswa ‘menjawab secara lisan dengan intonasi dan pengucapan yang benar. b. Elaborasi a) Siswa diberikan penjelasan kata sifat yang menunjukkan rasa, wamna, perasaan, jumlat” ukuran, kepribadian dan bentuk. ») Siswa diminta untuk bertanya kepada siswa tentang karakteristik teman lainnya. ©) Siswa mengisi karakteristik sifat teman lainnya pada sebuah table. 4) Siswa mendeskripsikan karakter public figure yang terdapat pada buku dan ‘menggunakan kata sifat yang sudah disediakan pada masing-masing public figure. e) Setelah siswa mendeskripsikan, beritahu kepada teman-teman lainnya secara lisan didepan Kelas. 4) Siswa mengerjakan latihan-latihan soal yang diberikan. > Siswa membaca sebuah teks tentang “My Favorite Teacher” ® Siswa diminta untuk menemukan dan menggaris bawahi teks tersebut yang ‘mengacu pada kalimat yang ada. > Siswa membaca tiga teks tentang “My Mother” , “My cat and My Rabbit” dan “My Smartphone." ® Siswa menemukan kata- kata yang sulit pada teks tersebut dan siswa ‘membuat pertanyaan terkait kata-Kata sulit kepada siswa lainnya, dan siswa Jain menjawab pertanyaan yang sudah dibuat oleh siswa tersebut. ® Berdasarkan ketiga teks tersebut, siswa diminta untuk mengisi kata yang Kosong pada kalimat dengan kata sifat yang sesuai, siswa mendiskusikan jawaban pada siswa lainnya dan guru. g) Siswa diberikan penjelasan tentang “Different Types of Adjective” h) Siswa diberikan soal-soal laihan yang berhubungan topik yang sedang dipelajari "> Siswa mencocokkan gambar dengan kata sifat yang tesedia. ® Siswa melengkapi kalimat rumpang dengan kata sifat yang sesuai > Siswa menggaris bawahi kata sifat pada kalimat-kalimat yang tersedia ©. Konfirmasi a) Siswa dan guru bersama sama membahas soal-soal yang dikerjakan b) Guru memberikan jawaban yang benar jika terdapat kesalahan pada siswa dalam menjawab soal-soal 3. Kegiatan Penutup (10 menit) a. Siswa bersama-sama dengan guru merangkum kegiatan dan materi pembelajaran Siswa diberikan kesempatan oleh guru untuk mengungkapkan kesulitan selama pembelajaran berlangsung ¢. Siswa diberikan pekerjaan rumah memilih kata sifat yang sesuai pada soal pilihan ganda. Pertemuan ke 3-4 1. Kegiatan pendahuluan (20 menit) a) Siswa ditanyakan kembali materi sebelumnya dengan memberikan pertanyaan- pertanyaan. Siswa diminta untuk mendeskripsikan singkat tentang public figure atau tempat-tempat tertentu ©) Siswa diminta untuk menyebutkan kata sifat yang dipakai untuk mendeskripsikan seeorang atau tempat 1) Siswa diminta untuk mencari kata sifat yang belum mereka ketahui artinya pada kamus. ‘2.
