SAMPLE COPY CLICK concentration
b) Setting-up Samples
Find Out the top and bottom samples
Add samples Add elements put counting time and KV/MA of that samples if possible
concentration also
c) Program
CreateProgram Name Matrix Subgroup will be same as done in the step Calibration
Standard Creation Retrieve (all the standard will be displayed in the box) OK
Select the program which you have already created already now click the element details
Select the element one by one and changes to be made in the KV ,MA and counting time .
CREATE PUT THE NAME AS YOU WISH SELECT THIS NAME AMEND
ANALYTICAL PROGRAM SELECT the required program ok .
Click results option use storage mode as auto and prints mode as manuals.
Before taking intensities of standard samples one time drift correction inilization is to be done
,to do this steps you have to create the task
CREATE PUT THE NAME AS YOU WISH SELECT THIS NAME AMEND select
samples click ALL now in the below window all the samples will appears ok .
Click results option use storage mode as auto and prints mode as manuals.
CREATE PUT THE NAME AS YOU WISH SELECT THIS NAME AMEND ok.
Click results option use storage mode as auto and prints mode as manuals.
d) Calibration.
Once the above steps are completd, go to Calibration Menu and perform following steps:-
a) Drift Correction Initialisation
b) Measure calibration Standards
c) MVR
This completes the calibration. However, before starting to analyse unknown samples, it is
better to perform the Drift Correction Update. We can do this from the Production/Analysis
menu.
Go to Calibration ---> Drift Correction Initialization ---> Calibration Curves may be invalidated
window will appear. Press OK ---> Change Task ---> Select the Task ( Cement, Clinker, Lime
Stone etc ) ---> OK.
Check the sample name, number and cassette position. Place the same sample in correct cassette
position ---> press Analyse
Once the measurement for this sample is over, Press Continue.
Place the next sample (shown in the window) in correct cassette position and press Analyse.
Follow this procedure, till all the samples are measured and the window does not show any
sample name and number.
Press Exit.
Your task of Drift Initialization is now complete.
MVR
Go to Calibration ---> MVR ---> file ---> Analytical program ---> Select the Program ( Cement,
Clinker, Lime Stone etc )
Press OK.
On the “Available Elements”, double click on the First Element. This will move the element to
the “Selected Element” Box.
On the “Available Samples” click on the first sample, then press “Group”, then scroll down to
the last sample in the available list and double click on it. The whole set of samples will move
to “selected samples” list.
Press “Analyte”. Then OK.
The calibration curve will be shown. If this is not acceptable, then change/delete the samples as
you wish to and then go to “Numeric & Store”. Press Ok. The co-efficient of the curve will be
stored in the program.
This way complete all the elements.
Go to Production/Analysis ---> Drift Correction Update ---> Change Task ---> Select the Task
( Cement, Lime Stone, Drift_CQ for Phases etc) . Place the samples in correct position & Press
Analyse. When all the samples are run and no sample name is shown in the Drift correction
update window Press Exit.
For Drift_CQ task, the samples are 200XRDU and 200E. These are ARL samples and are kept in
the blue plastic box that has come with the instrument.
Go to Production/Analysis ---> Concentration Analysis ---> Change Task ---> Select the Task
---> Type sample name & number, give correct cassette position number. ---> Press Sample
details OK.
For Measuring Clinker phases like C2S, C3S etc , select the task Phases.
Result Retrieval
Go to Production/Analysis then click Res. A window will open with comment No result found
for this selection. Press OK. In the new window click Change Task & select the Catogory as
UCN and the Task as Cement or Clicker etc. Press OK.Under the Analytical Program, Press
Select and then select the desired Program. Press OK.Then Press OK again.
OR
Under Production / Analysis, Go to Result Processing. Press Result Database or Press F8. Then
