Cycle of Life (Era of the advance living)
(Tiltle)

This paradigm shows that science, technology are connected or related. The information below are the
things I found or research about these 3 things that will explain why it will not function if one of these
things are not develop. Especially science. It affect one another in the way that the cycle may no longer
function if one of these things are not discovered. Example if scientist didn’t exist or theirs is no such
people who wants to study such thing you think there will be technologies? Or if there’s no society? You
think there is someone who will discover or study science. Let’s put it in a simple way. If there is no God
you think we may exist and create a society? Of course not. The implications of this to Covid-19 pandemic
are the people who are in charge to create the cure to these pandemic are using the knowledge and tools or
the technology to save the society. I affected me and my family in the way that this society (Philippines) is
toxic when it comes to unity. Can we just all help each other and not drag the people down. Cause we are
all suffering but a lot of people complain and complain. Always blame the government and not the people
itself where you can truly see the main problem is way that society thinks. Affects us in a way that our
mental state is very stressful than those normal days. Honestly, I really don’t know what will happen in the
future. Seeing the society that doesn’t cooperate? I don’t think so. But for me? If we will lessen our
complaints, in that small way we can help those people lessen their stress. Espcially the front liners whose
doing their best just to save the society same as the government. So yes, these three will not properly if we,
the society doesn’t cooperate when it comes to tough times. You know what our prof said when I was in
senior high? Less complain, less problem.

Science, Technology and Society (STS) is an interdisciplinary field that studies the conditions under which
the production, distribution and utilization of scientific knowledge and technological systems occur; the
consequences of these activities upon different groups of people. Based on the google. As I search what is
STS and to know the background of this subject and also the introductory of STS. This subject explores the

effects of science and technology on society and culture; the politics of socio-technical systems; science
policy in national and international contexts; the social and environmental risks vs. benefits of
technological and scientific advancement and, more specifically, cover topics such as the political economy
of pollution, the culture of the scientific laboratory, theories of race and genetic engineering, social
networking and the Internet, the body and politics of health. But in a simple phrases Science, Technology,
and Society or STS, from the word itself, it is a subject that studies the Science, Technology, and Society.
How it these are all connected and related. How it works. Why there are such things called STS. Why we
have to study this matter. And etc. So let’s just know what these words are:

First, Science. It is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure
and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Based on my research.
In short it is the study of things that are proven and studied by the scientist. Has a lot of evidence and
research of a certain thing. The pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and
social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. That is always what are teacher says
way back in high school as far as I remember. Basically, this is also the study why things around us is
working. Why these things are around us. Functions and use of these things. How it works.

Next is Technology. Based on the internet. It is the set of knowledge, skills, experience and techniques
through which humans change, transform and use our environment in order to create tools, machines,
products and services that meet our needs and desires. It is why nowadays, things and works are easier.
From the moment you sleep, you have now your bed which you can lay down comfortably as the night
turns to daylight. And the moment you are awaken by your alarm clock or cellphone that is also a
technology. Or even just checking the time. Clock is probably one of the oldest technology we have here in
earth. Next is when you brush your teeth, shower, everything that will make all the work easier. Even a
spoon and fork. And yes it is also a technology as far as I know because it is also invented and make our
eating more easily and more… you know, clean? Technology can also prolong life of the food you stored
(in the freezer obviously). Can also make your life enjoyable from playing mobile games to karaoke
bonding with you friends and family. You can also know what’s happening around the world by the news
update in this generation. You can communicate with other people from other places. And that’s why we
have this subject to tackle all about technology. Knowledges put into practical use to solve problems or
invent useful tools and how it makes our everyday living more easily than before.

And lastly, Society. The term to describe human beings together (collective, the sum of their social
networks and social interactions). The term comes from the Latin idea of societas, or the connection
between friends or allies (friend or ally being socius). It can also mean a specific group of people who
interact, as well as a wider society of which they are members. People form societies in order to gain
greater benefits as a group than would be possible separately. Based on my research. Which is basically a
group of people living in the same place and follows the same rules and regulation. Have the same practices
and culture. The same lifestyles and customs.
