What is a Campaign?
• The top layer of your “Facebook Ad”
• This is where you set the objective of your advertisement
• Everything within your campaign will follow that objective
• You can also set a budget for your Campaign as a whole
• Campaign Budget Optimisation – CBO
What is an Adset?
• Where you define the rules of your advertisement:
• The Who, What and Where
• Set your placements (e.g. desktop / mobile & Facebook Feeds &
Stories, Instagram Feeds & Stories etc)
• Determine the budget for your Adset
• Set a schedule (lifetime budget only)
What is an Ad?
• What your target market actually sees
• Mixture of images, videos, carousels etc
• Set your Ad Copy (the text in your Ad)
• Link your website URL
Some notes…
• Campaigns are set up independently (1 at a time)
• Within a Campaign you can have multiple Adsets
• Within an Adset you can have multiple Ads
• You generally want to run the same “Ads” across all of your “Adsets”
• You CAN use different Ads in each Adset but this is getting a little too
advanced
