1. Company Introduction

ABB High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd. Beijing, a joint venture (enterprise) between ABB and Beijing Jingcheng Machinery
Electric Holding Co., Ltd., was established in December 1995. The joint venture has adopted the latest technologies and the
most advanced equipment transferred from ABB's partners in Sweden, Switzerland, Norway and Finland to produce
advanced high and medium voltage switchgear products to meet the growing demand for switchgear of high quality in
China's rapidly expanding power transmission and distribution network market. Since its foundation, the joint venture has
grown into a company with over 700 employees and output over 2.1 billion CNY in year 2014. The joint venture has come to
be a major supplier of high and medium voltage power installations in the fields of energy, petrochemical, metallurgy,
railway, communications industries and architecture in China.

Ø 1993.09: Letter of Intent to Establish JV between BSF and ABB for HV Products signed in Beijing

3. Quality Assurance System

QAS (Quality Assurance System) Introduction

ABB High Voltage Switchgear Co., Ltd., Beijing (CNTHB) was established by ABB Group and Beijing Switchgear Factory in 1995. CNTHB
obtained the ISO9002 in 1998 and passed the ISO9001 in 2001. To completely fulfill the promises of environmental protection, health and
safety of employees, we acquired ISO14001 in 1998 and the OHSAS 18001 in 2003. Our goal is to provide customers with high-quality
products and services, to improve continuously, to care about the environment human beings, the health and safety of our employees.
The company established a complete, highly-efficient QAS to produce and sell high-quality products according to customers’ requirement,
and provides high-quality services to satisfy customers. The procedures are optimized and standardized which guarantees the demand of
customers to be understood and satisfied in all processes including sales, technology, production, shipment, installation etc. The
standardized examinations for raw materials, processes, and final products guarantee the quality of products effectively. By establishing
and practicing strict system for choosing and evaluating suppliers, raw materials are best guaranteed from the beginning of sources. To
deal with any abnormal situations inside and outside the company, a complete Noncompliance Management System was established. Any
nonconforming products identified in examination, production and installation would be dealt with efficiently. Any inexplicable
abnormality will be analyzed and treated with the Quality-Deviated Treatment System. Any customers’ complaints will enter into the ABB
Global Customer Complaints Management System and are coordinated and dealt with by specially appointed professionals. In addition to
the management systems, CNTHB has also established a corresponding Internal & External Supervision System. The Company audits the
internal management system and products many times every year, and also conducts “second-party” field auditing in the places of
suppliers. Moreover, CNTHB is also examined by others such as senior certification companies and foreign companies that transferred
technologies to CNTHB. With all the above-mentioned examinations and audit, any problems in production, products, and technology
could be corrected or prevented in time, thus effectively guaranteeing the continuous improvement of CNTHB’s Quality Assurance System.
To provide high-quality products and satisfy customers, CNTHB not only introduced technology from partners of ABB, but also invests a
lot to improve production line and equipment. All the equipments and tools are maintained daily and overhaul regularly. The measuring
instruments are calibrated by specialists to guarantee the precision of measuring data.
CNTHB has a powerful, active and efficient work team. CNTHB established internal training system to encourage every employee to
improve his/her skills. New employees will be trained for skills and work safety, and to become good team players. As for employees at
the key positions of the company, they have to pass relevant examinations and obtain certificates to work after their first three months of
practice in the company, thus guaranteeing the high quality of work at those key positions.
Excellent employees, advanced technology and equipment, and improving management boosts CNTHB to develop quickly, and makes
CNTHB confident to provide satisfying products and services to our respectful customers. CNTHB will continue to pay close attention to
demand of customers, make effort to create value for customers, stockholders, and employees.
The QMS consists of Quality Manual, Process Documents, Work Guide, and Quality Record. Quality Manual fully describes the system’s
procedures, intermal relationships, structures of work units, responsibilities of management, and guidelines for quality. Process
Documents and Work Guide provide detailed guidance for work. And the Quality Record provides evidence for the QMS to operate
effectively.
The target of the company is to provide products that are consistent with the contract, highly safe, and highly reliable, and are able to
satisfy customers. Structures of our work units, policies, Systems and Processes, the Quality Manual are supported by Process Documents,
