About Mr. Smith

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Ben Smith, and I am the new Band and

Choir director at Escalante Middle School!

I am originally from Northern Ohio, where I lived for

most of my early childhood. My family relocated to

Colorado right before I began high school in

Westminster. I attended Fort Lewis College, where I

earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in K12 Music

Education. I lived in Durango for 5 years before

moving back to Denver, where I taught and lived for

the last year and a half. I am thrilled to be returning

to Durango and joining the awesome community at

UPCOMING EVENTS AND INFO:
Escalante. I could not think of a better way to

celebrate my 10th year in Colorado than to be doing >AUG 24 - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
