course brings together students from different backgrounds, and also since the past year and a
half have been quite unusual due to the pandemic, I’d like to get a sense of where each of you
is with your Arabic studies, in order to have the most productive semester possible. For that
reason, I ask that you fill out this survey to provide some information about your Arabic
experience and interests. Please don’t agonize over any question, but also, don’t skip any! I’m
very much looking forward to working together this semester, and hope that you’ll reach out to
me—anytime—with any suggestions or comments!

experienced a significant gap in your studies?

expressions? Please list the top ones that come to mind (use any script/writing system).
