The diagram illustrates how cutting tools had developed during the period from 1,4

million years ago to 0,8 million years ago in Stone Age.

Overall, it is clear from the diagram that tool B was much bigger than tool A in
both size and length. There had been a number of improvements so that tool B was
shaper.
1,4 million years ago, the cutting tool was just 7 centimeters long. From the front
view, its surface was quite rough and not sharp enough to be used effectively. The
side view showed that the cutting tool’s width in the middle was 3 centimeters. Its
backside view was completely different with the front view.
After 600000 years, tool B appeared to be much more moderned. It was about 10
centimeters in length, larger that the cutting tool from 1,4 million years ago. Its
surface was also more smooth. The backside view was not quite different with the
front view. The side view also illustrated that tool B is thinner than tool A, with 2
centimeters in width.
