Kindly include the line: “Child evangelism idea by www.LetTheLittleChildrenCome.com”

Similar to the salvation bracelet, this child evangelism idea is based on the same colors as
the Wordless Book. This fun-filled gospel presentation uses paper airplanes to share the
message of salvation with children. (These Gospel Planes fly really well!)
2 free printables are provided – a full color version and an outlined version for kids to color. A
detailed guide on how to explain salvation to a child is included below.
When Jesus taught his first disciples, he used things they were familiar with, like sheep, fish and
bread. We can follow in Jesus’ footsteps by using items that children are familiar with to share
with them the gospel message.
Folding and flying paper airplanes is popular with children. Use this activity as a variation to the
popular child evangelism tool – the Wordless Book – to share the message of salvation with
children.

The Wordless Book was first used by Charles Spurgeon in 1866, and it has become a very
popular tool used all over the world to present the gospel to children.

This book of colored pages is not only extremely easy to use, it’s also very effective in
communicating the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Click here for a guide on how to use the Wordless Book.

What to Do
If possible, give the children some time to play with the Lego bricks before your gospel
presentation.

Before you begin your gospel presentation, ask the children to put these aside to minimise
distraction. Explain that you will tell them a short story using these Legos, and that after your
story they may continue playing with the Legos if they wish.
As you assemble the various objects using the Lego bricks, share the gospel message using
the same points the Wordless Book.

1
Use the yellow bricks to make a house.
This yellow house represents heaven and corresponds to the gold page of The Wordless Book.

2
Use the black bricks to make a heart.
This dark heart represents sin and corresponds to the dark page of The Wordless Book.
3
Use the red bricks to make a cross.
This red cross represents the blood of Jesus and corresponds to the red page of The Wordless
Book.

Beads Template for Printing on Colored Papers

(Print 1 on each colored paper: yellow, red, black, white, green.)

Make the Beads

1
After printing the Beads Template, cut out the triangles.
You will need one long triangle (10 inches by ½ inch) to make each bead.

2
You will need to make 5 colored beads for each bracelet: gold or yellow, red, black, white and
green.

3
Roll the beads. Starting with the base of the triangle, roll it around a toothpick. The toothpick
must be thicker than your cord.
If you are using a thicker cord, look for something thicker (e.g. a lollipop stick) to roll the beads.
Try to roll as tightly as possible, so that the bead will not unravel by itself later on.
Roll evenly to make the finished bead symmetrical.
4
Glue the beads. When you have almost reached the end of the triangle (about 2 inches from the
tip), apply glue to the tip of the triangle. Then finish rolling.

5
Once the glue is set, gently remove the bead from the toothpick.
6
If you want to make your beads last longer, you can paint a thin layer of varnish or transparent
nail polish over them.
(Young children may not be able to manage this step, and the varnish/nail polish will take some
time to dry.)

Assemble the Bracelet

1
To make adjustable bracelets, cut 15 inches of cord for each bracelet.

2
Thread the beads onto the cord in this order: yellow, black, red, white and green.

3
Move the beads to the middle of the cord and tie a knot on each side of the beads.

4
With the two ends of the cord, tie two sliding adjustable knots:
Take the first end and knot it around the second end.

Take the second end and knot it around the first end.
5
The finished bracelet looks like this:

How to Use, What to Say

There are many ways to use the Salvation Bracelet as a gospel presentation tool.

You can make a Salvation Bracelet for yourself and wear it wherever you go. Or you can make a
whole bunch of them to give away. Use them as conversation starters to share the gospel
whenever opportunities arise.

Alternatively, you can make Salvation Bracelets with a group of children as a craft project.
During the session, take the opportunity to share the gospel with them. Encourage them to wear
their salvation bracelets and to share the message of salvation with their friends.
Share the Gospel with Children -
Cleansing Power of Jesus!
It would be awesome if you could share this child evangelism idea on your website or blog.
Kindly include the line: “Child evangelism idea by www.LetTheLittleChildrenCome.com”

This Gospel presentation is a very visual way of explaining salvation to a child. Bleach and food
coloring are used to demonstrate the cleansing power of Jesus.

You may want to consider giving each child a salvation bracelet or one of these gospel
tracts after your presentation.

Age Group
 5 to 12

Materials
 Transparent Water Jug
 Water
 Eyedropper or Thin Straw
 Food Coloring
 Liquid Bleach

What to Do
1
Fill half the water jug with water. This water represents us.

2
Use the eyedropper or thin straw to add a few drops of food coloring into the water. This
represents sin in our lives.
Be careful not to add too much food coloring, otherwise the bleach may not be sufficient to
remove all the color.

3
Slowly pour liquid bleach into the water jug. The water should become clear again.
This illustrates the cleansing power of Jesus.
The amount of bleach required will depend on the concentration of the bleach you use, and how
much food coloring has been added.

Caution!
1
Keep in mind that the food coloring and bleach will stain or discolor clothes, carpets and even
some furniture.
You may like to cover the table top with a plastic sheet and have a rag handy to wipe up any
stains immediately.

2
It is important to experiment with this before presenting it to the child.
Bleach comes in varying concentrations, so the number of drops of food coloring that can be
added to the water differs significantly.

3
You may want to dilute the food coloring beforehand.
What to Say
Here are some key points to cover as you present the gospel.

You may need to tailor your gospel presentation to suit the age of your audience.

Use Questions to engage your listener and to check understanding.

Use Bible Verses where appropriate, but be careful not to overload your listener with too many
verses.
Fill half the water jug with water.
1
This water represents us.

2
But I am not perfect.
I don’t think anyone here is perfect either.
Do you think you are as clean as this water?
Use the eyedropper or straw to add a few drops of
food coloring into the water.
1
This food coloring represents the wrong things that we have done. These are called sins.
 Sins are the things we do that make God unhappy
 Doing, saying or thinking bad things are sins
 Telling lies, disobeying your parents, hurting others and being selfish are
examples of sins
 All of us have sinned

2
When we add food coloring to the water, it stains the water. The water becomes dirty.

3
In the same way, when we sin, our hearts become stained.

4
When our hearts become stained by our sins, it prevents us from having a relationship with God.
 Because of sin, our hearts are no longer clean
 God is perfect. Perfectly good, and perfectly clean
 Because God is perfectly clean, he can only allow those with clean hearts into
heaven
 The punishment for our sins is that we can’t be with God in heaven.
Do you know what “sin” means?
What were some of the things you have done that may have made God unhappy?
Rom 3:23
Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard.

If God can only allow those with clean hearts into heaven, do you think you will be able to join
God in heaven?
Rom 6:23
The payment for sin is death.

1
On our own, we can’t remove these stains from our hearts.

2
But God loves us so much that he provides a way for our hearts to be made clean.

3
Our hearts can only be made clean with Jesus’ help.
 God loves us so much that he sent his son, Jesus, to earth
 Jesus was a man who was different from any other person
 Jesus is God and never sinned

4
Jesus came from heaven to earth to take the punishment for our sins.
 Instead of us being punished, he took our place
 Jesus died on the cross so that all the wrong things that we have done can be
forgiven
 And on the third day, Jesus became alive again

5
When Jesus took the punishment for our sins, something amazing happened.
Do you know who Jesus is?
Do you know when we celebrate Jesus’ birth?
Rom 5:8
But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Rom 6:23
The payment for sin is death. But God gives us the free gift of life forever in Christ Jesus our
Lord.

Acts 13:30, 31
But God raised him up from the dead! After this, for many days, those who had gone with Jesus
from Galilee to Jerusalem saw him.

Do you know what amazing thing happened?

Slowly pour liquid bleach into the water jug.
1
When we add bleach to the stained water, it cleans the water. The water becomes clean again.

2
In the same way, when we accept Jesus into our lives, Jesus has the power to remove the stains
from our hearts and make our hearts clean.

3
Jesus made it possible for our hearts to be made clean. But before our hearts can be made clean,
we need to:
 Admit that we have sinned and ask God to forgive us
 Believe that Jesus died on the cross to be punished instead of us, and
 Invite Jesus into our lives to help us turn away from sin

4
When we do these things sincerely, our hearts will be made clean. When our hearts are made
clean, we can be with God.

5
We can now have a relationship with God.
 We can become children of God
 We can call God our Father

6
We can one day be with God in heaven.
 Heaven is a wonderful place.
 There is no sickness, no pain and no hunger
 No one ever dies
 Everyone is perfectly happy
 The most wonderful thing about heaven is that it is God’s home.
Do you want your heart to be made clean?
Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross to take your punishment?
Do you want to ask God to forgive you?
Do you want to invite Jesus into your life?
1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right.
He will cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done.

Would you like to have a relationship with God?

What do you think heaven is like?
Would you like to be with God in heaven?
Rev 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying,
or pain.

Rev 21:21
The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate having been made from a single pearl. And the
street of the city was made of pure gold as clear as glass.

John 1:12
But to all who did accept him and believe in him he gave the right to become children of God.

John 3:16
God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him
may not be lost, but have eternal life.

1
Invite the child to sincerely pray for forgiveness and for Jesus to come into his/her life.

2
Saying this prayer sincerely means:
 You are truly sorry for all the wrong things you have done
 You truly believe that Jesus took the punishment for your sins
 You truly want to start a relationship with Jesus to help you turn from all the
wrong things you have done and do what is right
Sample Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me. I know that I have sinned. I have done things that are
wrong. I believe that you died on the cross to take the punishment for my sins. Please forgive
all of my sins and make my heart clean. Please come into my life and help me turn away from
doing wrong. Thank you that with a clean heart, I can have a relationship with you now and
will one day be with you in heaven. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

What to Say
Here are some key points to cover as you present the gospel.

You may need to tailor your gospel presentation to suit the age of your audience.

Use Questions to engage your listener and to check understanding.

Use Bible Verses where appropriate, but be careful not to overload your listener with too many
verses.

1
A circle has no beginning and no ending.
 It just goes round and round

2
We can use a circle to represent God because God is eternal.
 God has no beginning and ending
 God exists from the very beginning and he will continue to exist forever

3
The Eternal God is also the Creator God.
 God made the world and everything in it
 He created the sun, moon, stars and the earth
 He created the land, sea, plants and animals
 The most special thing he created was you and me
Can you tell where the ends of this string are?
Do you know who God is?
What is your favorite animal?
What are some other things that God created?
Rev 22:13
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Gen 1:1
In the beginning God created the sky and the earth.
Gen 1:25
So God made the wild animals, the tame animals, and all the small crawling animals.

Gen 1:27
So God created human beings in his image. In the image of God he created them. He created
them male and female.

1
We can also use a circle to represent the type of life that God wants to give us – Eternal Life.
 Eternal life is like a circle
 Eternal life never ends

2
Eternal life begins when we have a relationship with God.

3
When we have a relationship with God,
 we become children of God
 we can call God our father
 we can one day be with God in heaven

4
Heaven is a wonderful place
 There is no sickness, no pain and no hunger
 No one ever dies
 Everyone is perfectly happy
 The most wonderful thing about heaven is that it is God’s home
 God wants us all to be with him in his home.
What do you think heaven is like?
Would you like to be with God in heaven?
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never die.

Rev 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, sadness, crying,
or pain.

 We have all done things that have made God unhappy
 These things are called sins
 Telling lies, disobeying your parents, hurting others and being selfish are
examples of sin

2
Sin entangles us.

 We are unable to break free from sin on our own.
 Just like this…
Do you know what “sin” means?
What are some things you have done that may have made God unhappy?
How do you feel about being tangled up like this?
Rom 3:23
Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard.
1
But God loves us very much and wants us to be with him.

2
So God sent his son, Jesus, to earth.
 Jesus was a man who was different from any other person
 Jesus is God and never sinned

John 3:16
God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him
may not be lost, but have eternal life.

Rom 5:8

Lord.

Acts 13:30, 31

How do you feel about finally being released?

1
When we are released from the tangle of sin, we can have a relationship with God.

 We can call God our Father
 We can one day be with God in heaven.
2

Since then, several other colors have been added to this popular child evangelism tool.

Today’s version of the Wordless Book typically includes gold to represent heaven as well as
green to represent growth in our relationship with Jesus.

Based on the same colors as the popular Wordless Book, this gospel presentation idea uses
nail polish to share the message of salvation with children.

When Jesus taught his first disciples, he used things they were familiar with, like sheep, fish and
bread. We can follow in Jesus’ footsteps by using items that children are familiar with to share
with them the gospel message.

Nail polish is popular not just with adults, but also with younger girls.

Use nail polish as a variation to the popular child evangelism tool – The Wordless Book – to
share the message of salvation with girls.

Audience
 Girls aged 5 to 12
Materials
 Nail polish – gold (or yellow), gray, red, white and green

The Wordless Book was first used by Charles Spurgeon in 1866, and it has become a very
popular tool used all over the world to present the gospel to children.

This book of colored pages is not only extremely easy to use, it’s also very effective in
communicating the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Click here for a guide on how to use the Wordless Book.

What to Do
Paint your own fingernails as you share the gospel message using the same points as
the Wordless Book.

You may want to paint the girls’ nails as you go along, or allow them to paint their own nails.
However, depending on the girls’ age the size of the group, this may be disruptive to your gospel
presentation. One alternative to consider is to paint the girls’ nails only after you finish your
gospel presentation.

1
Paint your Pinky fingernail gold (or yellow).
This represents heaven and corresponds to the gold page of The Wordless Book.
2
Paint your Ring fingernail gray.
This represents sin and corresponds to the dark page of The Wordless Book.

3
Paint your Middle fingernail red.
This represents the blood of Jesus and corresponds to the red page of The Wordless Book.
4
Paint your Index fingernail white.
This represents a clean heart and corresponds to the white page of The Wordless Book.

5
Paint your Thumb nail green.
This represents growth and corresponds to the green color of The Wordless Book.

Use a hard-boiled egg to illustrate how Jesus can make us clean.

Age Group
 5 to 12

Materials
 Hard-boiled Egg
 Black Permanent Marker
What to Do
1
Show everyone a hard-boiled egg. This egg represents us.

2
Ask the children to suggest some things they have done that are wrong.
Write these on the egg using a black permanent marker.

3
Pass the egg around and ask the children to describe the egg. (e.g. hard, dirty, messy…)

4
Slowly peel off the egg shell.
Pass the egg around again and ask the children to describe the egg now. (e.g. soft, clean,
smooth…)

What to Say
Here are some key points to cover as you present the gospel.

You may need to tailor your gospel presentation to suit the age of your audience.

Use Questions to engage your listener and to check understanding.

Use Bible Verses where appropriate, but be careful not to overload your listener with too many
verses.
Show everyone a hard-boiled egg.
1
This egg represents us.

2
But I am not perfect.
I don’t think anyone here is perfect either.
Do you like to eat eggs?
How do you normally like your eggs done?
Ask the children to suggest some things they have done
that are wrong and write these on the egg using a black
permanent marker. You may like to pass the egg and
permanent marker around for the children to write on the
egg. Caution: Be careful not to drop or crack the egg shell
so as not to stain the inside of the egg.
1
We have all done things that are wrong. These are called sins.
 Sins are the things we do that make God unhappy
 Doing, saying or thinking bad things are sins
 Telling lies, disobeying your parents, hurting others and being selfish are
examples of sins
 All of us have sinned
Do you know what “sin” means?
What were some of the things you have done that may have made God unhappy?
Rom 3:23
Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard.

Pass the egg around and ask the children to describe the
egg (e.g. hard, dirty, messy).
1
When we sin, our hearts become stained. Just like this egg.

2
When our hearts become stained by our sins, it prevents us from having a relationship with God.
 Because of sin, our hearts are no longer clean
 God is perfect. Perfectly good, and perfectly clean
 Because God is perfectly clean, he can only allow those with clean hearts into
heaven
 The punishment for our sins is that we can’t be with God in heaven.

3
On our own, we can’t remove these stains from our hearts.

4
But God loves us so much that he provides a way for our hearts to be made clean.

5
Our hearts can only be made clean with Jesus’ help.
 God loves us so much that he sent his son, Jesus, to earth
 Jesus was a man who was different from any other person
 Jesus is God and never sinned

6
Jesus came from heaven to earth to take the punishment for our sins.
 Instead of us being punished, he took our place
 Jesus died on the cross so that all the wrong things that we have done can be
forgiven
 And on the third day, Jesus became alive again

7
When Jesus took the punishment for our sins, something amazing happened.
If God can only allow those with clean hearts into heaven, do you think you will be able to join
God in heaven?
Rom 6:23
The payment for sin is death.

Slowly peel off the egg shell.
1
When we remove the egg shell, the egg looks nice and soft and clean once again.

Pass the egg around again and ask the children

to describe the egg now (e.g. soft, clean, smooth).
