Temperate

CLIMATES
Temperate (moderate)
climates, such as the
Mediterranean, are most often
found between the 30 and 45
degree latitudes. They
experience four distinct
seasons and can be further
categorised into warm
temperate, cool temperate
and cold temperate.
The summers are usually
warm to hot, and the winters
are mild to cool due to the
surrounding bodies of water
and currents near the land.
A variety of evergreen,
deciduous and fruit trees, as
well as different scrubs, make
up the vegetation in
temperate climates.
An example of a temperate
(moderate) climate is
Santorini in Greece.
