6. Acceptance Of Terms And Conditions


1. Foreign students to pay 50% of the full amount 5 working days before commencement date of course.
2. Copy of student permit (where applicable)
3. Pay the upfront fee on or before course start date, failing which payments will automatically revert to the full course fee.
4. Accounts must be settled within 8 days of statement. Overdue accounts (30 days or more) will be handed over for collection
without prior notice. This action will be for the discretion of AIE.
5. In the event of any legal action for the recovery of monies, or any other action by AIE, in terms of these Terms and Conditions, the
sponsor hereby acknowledges that they will be liable for legal costs on the scale as between attorney and own client which costs
shall include costs of a tracing agent and collection commission.
6. The undersigned undertakes to furnish AIE with the new particulars in the event of change in the personal particulars as provided
above within 3 days from date of change.
7. Though confidentiality will be adhered to at all times, I/we hereby irrevocably and in the sole discretion of AIE authorize disclosure
of my credit records to such person or instances to who it from time to time be necessary to enforce and or protect any right or
obligation of myself and/or AIE.
8. Debit orders returned by payee’s bank will incur a cost of R65 per debit order.
9. I, the Student, am signing this contract with the knowledge and consent of my natural guardian (only applicable to minors).
10. Interest will be charged on all overdue payments at prime interest rate plus 3% (annually) according to the rates of the Standard
Bank of South Africa.
11. In the event that the Student fails to commence the course after having paid the registration fee, then such registration fee is to
be forfeited and shall become non-refundable. Any additional monies paid by the Student or Sponsor shall be returned based on
the discretion of AIE.
12. A deposit will be due and payable upon registration.
13. Either party will have the right to cancel this agreement in line with the cancellation policy of AIE by giving the other party prior
written notice. Cancellations must be addressed to: The Head: Finance & Admin and emailed to info@aie.ac or by hand and must
include the date of sending the cancellation.
14. I am bound by and shall comply with all the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures which AIE may impose from time to time.
15. The Student hereby nominates their domicilium citandi et executandi at the address stipulated on the face hereof for the purpose
of service and any notices and proceedings in consequences of this agreement.
16. The Student hereby consents in terms of Section 45 of the Magistrate’s Court Act 32 of 1944 to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s
Court in the respect of any action instituted by AIE notwithstanding the fact that the sum claimed may exceed the jurisdiction of
the said court.
17. No relaxation of or indulgence granted by AIE to the Student shall in any way be construed as being a waiver or renunciation by
AIE of any of its rights in terms of this contract. Furthermore, such relaxation or indulgence shall further not be regarded as a
negation of the Student’s liability in terms hereof.
18. These Terms and Conditions shall form the sole agreement between AIE and the Student. No amendment or variation thereto shall
be of any force of effect unless reduced to writing and signed by all the parties concerned, or their duly authorized agents and/or
representatives.
19. AIE shall not be held liable for any damages suffered as a result of any accident occurring on its premises and the Student hereby
indemnifies AIE against any such claim or claims.
20. AIE makes no representation or warranty in respect of its lecturers. In the event that the Student is not satisfied as to the standard
of teaching, the onus of proof thereof shall lie with the Student.
21. Upon enrolment, students are required to sign and adhere to AIE Code of Conduct.
22. I hereby give AIE consent to do an ITC check.
23. I/we confirm that this agreement is in a plain and understandable language as well as in the language of my choice

The Sponsor Hereby Accepts And Agrees That:


24. All the terms and conditions of the agreement between the Student and AIE shall mutatis mutandis be binding on me.
25. In addition thereto, I hereby bind myself as surety and co-principal debtor for the Student in favour of AIE for the payment of all
sums of money with the student who may now, or in future, become indebted to AIE arising from whatsoever cause.

7. Cancellation & Transfer policy

1. Cancellation Policy
From date of course commencement a 1 week (Seven Days) cooling period will be allowed in which the cancellation of course will be
accepted, the below terms and conditions apply:
i. Deposit/Registration Fee/Enrolment are not refundable
ii. Any cancellation received between registration but before course commencement, deposit will be retained and full course fees refundable. (If a
laptop was invoiced and received the full amount of the laptop will be charged)
iii. If the student cancels within 1 week of course commencement, 10% of course fee will be charged. (no study kit or materials can be returned & If
a laptop was invoiced and received the full amount of the laptop will be charged)
iv. If the student cancels after 1 week from course commencement the full course fee will be charged and are payable by the student/sponsor.

2. Transfer
From date of course commencement a 1 week (Seven Days) cooling period will be allowed in which the student may transfer, the
below terms and conditions apply:
A. Within the 1 week cooling period
i. Transfer to a future intake
1. 10% transfer/admin fee on course fees will be charged on any transfer to a future intake
2. Course fees remain the same.
ii. Transfer to a different delivery method
1. 10% transfer/admin fee on course fees will be charged on any transfer of delivery method.
2. Invoice will be adjusted to new delivery method cost
iii. Transfer to a different Qualification

1. 10% transfer/admin fee on course fees will be charged on any transfer of Qualification.
2. Invoice will be adjusted to new qualification cost

B. After the 1 week cooling period


i. Transfer to a future intake
1. 10% transfer/admin fee on course fees will be charged on any transfer to a future intake
2. Course fees will be adjusted to new intake course fees.
ii. Transfer to a different delivery method
1. No transfer to different delivery method will be accepted 1 week after course commencement, option to move to a future intake will be
accepted (refer to point {B,i} above)
2. If you are not willing to move to a future intake, the cancellation policy applies.
iii. Transfer to a different Qualification
3. No transfer to different delivery method will be accepted after 1 week after course commencement, option to move to a future intake will
be accepted (refer to point {B,i} above)
3. If you are not willing to move to a future intake, the cancellation policy applies.

2. Redo of Subjects
Should the student have to redo a subject or certification failed, this will be charged at the standard rate per subject with
a possible discount.
