I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to undertake the Management Development & Leadership -
Hospitality (NTPC SC) at the National Training & Productivity Centre in 2022 Short Course

Please also take note of the current Covid-19 protocols in FNU campuses:

Covid-19 Protocols
In order to maintain the health and safety of all staff and students, the following measures are operational, in
accordance with the directive from the Fiji Higher Education Commission:
• Only students who have been fully vaccinated (or who have proof that they have been granted exemption from
vaccination) will be permitted to enter FNU premises.
• Students are required to show their proof of vaccination status to security at the campus entrance. Failure to show
both this document will result in refusal of entry. This is to protect all students and staff.
• All Students must adhere strictly to all the COVID-19 safety protocols while on campus:
◊ A face covering must be worn at all times.
◊ 2-metre social distancing must be observed at all times.
◊ The CareFiji app must be installed and activated on your device.
◊ Please wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer when you are in the campus
(sanitiser stations will be installed throughout campuses).

Registration Information
To ensure that you are able to access your course, you are required to register yourself into your courses before class
starts. You can view the class start dates in the Academic Calendar at: https://www.fnu.ac.fj/student/academic-
services/academic-calendar/

Please follow the below steps for online registration:


I. View your programme structure on the FNU website or click on the following link:
https://www.fnu.ac.fj/study/program/ and note down your courses for registration.
II. Visit the Student Self Service page using the link: https://self-service.fnu.ac.fj/StudentSelfService
(Open this link in Private mode or on an Incognito window).
III. Use the ID given in this letter as your username.
IV. Enter your password as J$N05021996Pw
You are required to change your password as soon as you log in for the first time.
V. Now register yourself into the same courses that are outlined in your Programme Structure.
VI. After you have successfully registered into your courses you will receive an invoice for fee payment within
24 hours’ time.

Kindly note the following information to ensure a smooth enrolment experience:


1. Registration Status: A bonafide FNU student has an active registration status in an FNU programme. To achieve
this status, the student should have accepted an offer of admission to a programme and should have completed
the Registration procedure and paid all fees and charges required by FNU as a condition of Registration.
2. Registration Dates: Please strictly adhere to the enrolment dates as per the Academic Calendar to avoid any
late enrolment charges.
3. Fee/Charges: Upon completion of your registration, you can view your fee charges on Banner Student self-
service. The mandatory fee shown should be paid at the earliest to enable you to access the University’s ICT,
Library and other facilities. Further information on tuition fees can be obtained from the FNU website:
https://www.fnu.ac.fj/student/programmes/. You are advised to check all other fees, charges and conditions
as well as programme information with the College before enrolling. FNU will not be liable to a student for any
loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the student’s failure to make these checks.
4. Payment Installment Plan: If you are facing financial difficulties in paying tuition fee you can apply for an
Installment plan with the Finance department.
5. Non Payment of Fees: Students who owe fees for the previous Term will not be allowed to register for the next
Term until all fees are cleared.
6. FNPF Assistance: The Finance Office will provide invoice to local students for Education Withdrawal with FNPF
upon request.
7. Fee Policy: The University policy and processes concerning charging and collecting course/programme fees

8. Debt Policy: The University has a policy that outlines its processes to collect its debts. Further information
can be obtained from FNU Finance
9. Method of Payment: Payment of fees can be done as follows:
 Cash Payments - Deposit into any BSP bank (using invoice). Online transfer (using below bank account
details) or payment can be made through MPaisa.
 FNPF Payments - Invoice with FNPF Education withdrawal form (with documents required by FNPF) to be
lodged at FNPF (Takes around 3-5 working days to process).
 Credit Card Payment - Payment can be made via the FNU website:
https://onlinepayments.fnu.ac.fj/onlinepayment. However, additional charges of 4.25% apply.
 International Payments: · Only accepted through transfers to below bank account. (western union transfer
is not accepted) · Bank charges are borne by sender.

10. Immigration Requirements for International and Regional Students:
All international and regional students must follow the Fiji Immigration Departments requirements as stated
below:
 Regional students can apply for student permit while in the country. For international students; it is
mandatory for a student permit application to be approved before entering Fiji.
 Submit a duly filled in application in the official form provided by the Immigration Department
 Copy of applicant's bio-data page of the passport
 Two (2) passport size photo
 Request letter for a student permit
 Medical Report conducted within three (3) months or less from date of application
 A police report for applicants over the age of 18 years from the country of citizenship/residence.
 For sponsored students - a sponsorship letter from the organisation or individual sponsor.
 For self-funding students - a financial statement dated 3 months back or less
 Copy of return ticket back to their country of residence
 Copy of current permit
 Copy of bond receipt for non-regional students
 Requisite fee
Students who wish to bring their family members to Fiji will be required to liaise directly with the Fiji
Immigration Department
11. Accommodation
Students who wish to reside on FNU campuses are requested to contact the Accommodation Services on email
accomodation@fnu.ac.fj
12. Student Identification Card
12.1 You are kindly requested to produce your receipt/ deposit slip to the IT Technician at the ID Section based
at the Academic Services Offices at Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Labasa, Samabula or Nasinu Campuses for the issue of
your ID Card.
12.2 Students without valid ID cards will not be allowed into the classrooms, workshops, library, examination
rooms or any FNU premises.
12.3 All students must produce their ID card on demand by any staff, including the security personnel.
12.4 Your ID card must be securely kept at all times, and loss of the same should be reported to any Academic
office as soon as possible.
12.5 The cost of a replacement ID card is $20.00.
13. Withdrawal from Course(s)/Programme
A full refund shall be given for withdrawals made 5 or more days before the commencement of the class.
14. University Academic & Student Regulations
14.1 The University Academic & Students Regulations (UASR) stipulates the rules and regulations that govern
the University’s academic and student activities.
14.2 The UASR also provides guidelines for the use of the University properties & facilities, intellectual property,
grievance procedures and the student misconduct provisions.
14.3 You are requested to familiarise yourself with the UASR and comply with the provisions stated therein. A
copy of the UASR can be obtained from the University website.
15. Banner Student Self-Service
Please explore the Banner Student Self Service for any other information on course registration, tuition fees,
fee deadlines, timetabling, moodle login, University Academic Student Regulations or any other details.
