The most valued professional qualification in the Finance area is the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). By registering
on this Masters’ degree programme you will have the option of undertaking a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level

This offer of admission is valid only for the proposed Arrival/Registration date specified above unless otherwise agreed
by the International Admissions Office.
Please refer to ‘Important Information’ below for details on how to accept or decline the offer, how to make deposit
payment, applying for accommodation, registration and so on.
Before Bangor University can issue you with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) reference number for
your visa application, you will need to have satisfied all conditions of the offer, have made the deposit payment and
provided a copy of your passport.
Important Information
Payment of your deposit will be taken as formal acceptance of the above offer (see 'Deposits' below).
It is very important that you read and understand our Terms & Conditions before you accept a place at Bangor
University. By accepting an offer, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and that you will comply with them. If
you are unsure about any of these terms, please use the Application Portal to contact the Admissions Office. You are
also confirming that all the information you have provided to Bangor University is accurate and complete and that you
will comply with the appropriate University rules and regulations regarding your application. Please note that you will
not obtain Bangor University student status until you have successfully completed the formal registration process upon
arrival at the University. Information regarding registration is detailed in this letter.
Important additional information: please read the following notes concerning this offer carefully and before contacting
the University.
You are expected to arrive and register on the ‘Arrival Date’ as stated on the first page of the offer letter,
otherwise you will miss out on essential orientation and the start of the course. Please note that the date on
which you should arrive in Bangor University to formally register will also be confirmed in your 'Notification of
CAS letter' (required for your student visa application). In exceptional circumstances, it is possible that you may
be permitted to register after that date (please refer to the 'Notification of CAS' letter), however students must
make every effort to arrive by the date of permitted late arrival. Students are advised that it is their
responsibility to catch up with all missed coursework and assignments.
Registration and arrival details will normally be sent to you by email two weeks prior to the arrival/registration date,
provided that all the conditions specified in the offer of admission letter have been satisfied and the deposit payment
has been received.

If you have an academic condition attached to your offer, please note that Bangor University reserves the right to adjust
the level of the scholarship award based on your final academic grades.
If you are funded by a third party for your study at Bangor University you must ensure that the International
Admissions Office receives official written confirmation of this with full invoicing details from the third party
concerned otherwise you will be invoiced for the full amount.
Fully sponsored students will not be entitled to the Tuition Fee Scholarship award.
Please note a minimum of 50% of the Tuition Fee must be paid prior to OR at Registration. Further details on

Estimated living costs act as a guideline to the cost of living in Bangor. The actual amount will vary depending on your
type of accommodation and lifestyle.
Deposits
The deposit charged is set out in the University’s current tuition fee schedule and must be paid either to the
University’s authorised agent or directly to the University. This deposit will be offset against tuition fees. Please

Where a student is being funded by a recognised sponsor (e.g. overseas government; US Loans) a deposit is not
normally required.
Provided that all the conditions specified in the offer letter have been satisfied, it is advised that you make the deposit
payment as soon as possible so that the university may issue the CAS and enable you to apply for a student visa at your
earliest convenience.

Your course:
Academic progress is monitored regularly. Where your studies are being formally funded by a sponsor (e.g. Research
Council, Government body, etc) or you are currently, or have been, undertaking studies at a partner institution, the
University reserves the right as a condition of registration, to provide regular academic progress reports directly to your
sponsor or the partner institution. By accepting this offer, you authorise Bangor University to release to the partner
institution or sponsor, details of your academic progress. Furthermore, in certain circumstances where there is due
concern regarding your academic performance, you permit any data pertaining to your attendance at Bangor University
to be shared with the partner institution or sponsor. Where information is shared it will be as a condition of your formal
funding, or because the University is concerned about your progress. The information will be limited to and
proportionate to what the funder requires, and / or to the concern raised. If you would like to discuss any exemptions to
this policy you must do this prior to registration.
English Language:
Your qualifications
You will need to provide evidence of your qualifications. This may be:
- confirmation of your award(s) from your prior university or college
- original transcripts (non-returnable)
- photocopies or scanned copies of your certificates
Residency:
University regulations require all full time students to engage fully with their course of study. Every student is
monitored for compliance with this regulation. The University requires every student to live within a reasonable daily
travelling distance of the University (i.e. 1 hour).
Accommodation:
Accommodation is guaranteed to all new international students for September intake, subject to conditions.

Visa

Every student requiring a visa to study in the UK will require a 'Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies' (CAS)
reference number from a recognised sponsor (e.g. University).
In order for this University to obtain a CAS reference number for you from the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), you
will need to
-have paid any deposit requested in this offer letter (if applicable). This deposit will be offset against tuition fees
after you have formally registered at Bangor University.
-provide a scanned copy of your passport (identity details pages i.e. name, passport number, and nationality)
Please note that a CAS is valid for 6 months. You should check with your local UK visa issuing office regarding
the visa application process and the earliest date you can apply.
Please note that you may be subject to pre-CAS checks by Bangor University before we are able to release the
CAS to you.
