NOTIFICATION

The Governor is pleased to appoint Sri Debasish Sengupta, Superintending Engineer of Irrigation &
Waterways Directorate borne under West Bengal Engineering Service (Irrigation), presently posted as Joint
Secretary of 1&W Department, to officiate, on promotion on provisional basis to the post of Chief Engineer, under
I&W Dte. in Scale or Level-22 between Pay range of Rs.123600/- to Rs.192S00/- under revised pay structure of
W.B.S (ROPA) Rules, 2019, plus allowances as admissible time to time with effect from the date of his joining and
until further order.

The Governor is further pleased to allow Shri Sengupta to take charge of the post of Project Director &
Chief Engineer, SPMU, WBMIFMP, I&W Dte. on promotion with effect from the date of his joining and until
further orders.

This order issues in the interest of public service and will take immediate effect.
