1. What is a programming software?

If you were a software

developer, what kind of software would you develop? Explain.
Programming software are those types of software which helps developers
or programmers to develop other different kind of software. Few examples
of programming software are Compilers, assemblers, debuggers,
interpreters etc.

If I were a software developer then I would develop a software which

connect skilled worker like electrician, plumber etc. with normal
consumers. Nowadays finding a skilled worker is a tedious job. You must go
through different contractors which ultimately increases cost and time. But
with my software one can find such skilled worker from the comfort of their
home. In my software, skilled workers can sign up and verify their skill. Skill
verification will be a most important factor in my software which will be
done by a series of online test and practical test. After a skilled worker
verify their skills, they can be matched with consumers or customers who
need such skilled worker. Customers may select variety of skilled worker
according to their skill level and rating. Higher the skills and rating, higher
the hourly cost of a skilled worker. Many skilled workers who currently are
unemployed may find employment opportunity and many general people
who are in search of qualified skilled worker may get benefited through my
software. Hence the soul purpose of my software is to connect general
people with qualified skilled worker.

2. What is computer virus? How does computer virus work?

A computer virus if much like a biological virus because it is designed to
spread from host to host and can replicate or copy itself. Similarly, in the
same way that biological viruses cannot reproduce without a host cell,
computer viruses cannot reproduce and spread without a host machine.
In more technical terms, a computer virus is a type of malicious program
written to alter the way a computer operates and is designed to spread
from one computer to another. A computer virus operates by inserting or
attaching itself to a genuine program. A computer virus has the potential to
cause unexpected or damaging effects, such as harming the system
software by corrupting or destroying data.

Once a virus has successfully attached to a program, the virus will force you
to run the program, which in turn causes the virus code to be executed.
This means that a virus can remain hidden on your computer without
showing major signs or symptoms. However, once the virus infects your
computer, the virus can infect other computers on same network. Stealing
password or data, logging keystrokes, corrupting files, spamming your
email contacts, and even taking over your machines.

3. How can one protect their computer against computer virus?

Computers are a commodity items in today’s world used by almost

everyone. However, they are prone to viruses and worms that could harm
our data and files and steal our personal data and information. Hence one
can protect their computer against computer virus by following these ways:

a) Install an Antivirus: Antivirus are crucial software to keep your

system free of computer virus and malware. Installing antivirus is
easy and can be done with a click of a button. Hence one should have
a up to date antivirus to keep their computer malware and virus free.

b) Update your system: All computer operating system receives

frequent updates that enhance individual features. These update
also includes security measures that keep our computer safe from
the latest batch of virus and malware produced by hackers.

c) Avoiding suspicious website: Websites which are infected with

malwares tries to download and install those malwares to your
computers. Most of the time your browser will notify you when
those website tries to install malware into your system. Avoiding
these websites in first place helps to keep your system secure

d) Using Strong Passwords: One should develop a habit of creating

strong password including letters, numbers and symbols. Strong
passwords help to keep our data safe from hackers.
e) Using a firewall: Using antivirus programs doesn’t automatically
mean you have a firewall. Most of computers comes with pre-
installed firewall. Make sure it’s enabled to provide an extra layer of
protection from viruses and malware.

f) Avoid Suspicious Links: Links can be a dangerous thing, especially

when they’re from an unknown source. A common trick that’s still
used today is sending phishing emails that link to harmful websites
that may install a virus or steal our data. Being careful about what we
click on will save us from many potential threats.

g) Run a Virus Scan often: As great as all our ad-block and antivirus
software is, there’s still potential to download a virus or install
malware. As a result, we must run a virus scan at least on a weekly
basis to prevent or minimize the damage done by malicious coding.
This can be done moments before we backup to ensure we have no
harmful files.
