Fallacy of Improper Accent

 This fallacy consists of in


misleading people by placing
improper emphasis on a word,
phrases or particular aspect of an
issue.
 In the given situation, Duterte was
taken out of context as he referred
COVID 19 as “maliit na bagay”
compared to his previous hurdles
upon taking office.
 The word emphasized here is the
COVID 19 being compared to the
drug related and some other major
issues.

 Fallacy of Argumentum ad Hominem


 This fallacy ignores the issue by focusing on certain personal characteristics of an
opponent instead of addressing the issue presented by the opponent.
 The above photos, clearly, Tio attacked Gazini about her poor English fluency
instead of addressing the main issue of the latter’s opinion towards current
administration in general.
 Fallacy of Appeal to Pity
 This fallacy convinces
people by invoking feelings
of compassion and
sympathy when such
feelings, however
understandable are not
logically relevant to arguer’s
conclusion.
 In relation to the situation
hereof, Biden was beholden
to end white supremacy and
domestic violence as
promised prior election. He
admitted that it’s hard to
accomplish but he’ll do his
best to address the issue but
not with a real time effect.
 Thus, fallacy of Appeal
Pity.
