Effects of Bullying in Grade 10 Students of Bucal National High School

Method of Research

This chapter presents the research method, sources of data, data gathering instruments

that used in the study. The study took place in Bucal National High School during the

2018-2019 school year.

The goal was to reduce, if not eliminate, the existing bullying /victim problems and

prevent the development of new cases of bullying. This chapter describes the

implementation methods used in this research.

Research Design

The researchers used the descriptive analytical method of research for this is the most

appropriate means of evaluating.

The effects of bullying among children and its implication to behavior. Descriptive

analytical method of research as certain to prevailing conditions affecting a given group

henc, this study calls for this method. It is a study components to serve as a direction in

reaching a goal .It is pointed out that the descriptive methods tells "what is", that which

leads to a scientific information about education, and other situation". In further

description, it as a fact-finding.

The descriptive method of research involves as a certain data gathering process on

prevailing conditions and practice or descriptions of objects, process or persons as they

exist for about a certain educational phenomenon, predicting for identifying relationship

among and between the available described.

Research Locale

This study was conducted at Bucal National High School. It is located at Brgy. Bucal 2

of Maragondon in Cavite. The respondents will be interviewed in their room or any

comfortable place that the respondent will choose to. The researchers gathered

respondents from Grade 10 students in BNHS. These respondents will be interviewed

via voice recorder. The researchers chose the place of implementation because it will

give the researchers the needed information for students who experienced bullying. The

study will be conducted in year 2018-2019.

Subjects/ Unit of Analysis

The respondents of this study are 20(5%) of selected students in Bucal National High

School who were experienced being bullied. The respondents will give the data needed

in this research. By them, the researcher will have the factual data needed.

Sampling Procedure

Sampling is the method by which a researcher chooses a group of respondents (the

sample from a larger population and the n formulating a universal assertion about the

whole matter. The researchers used is purposive sampling. According to Tan (2006)

simple random sampling is the selection on random basis of elements from sampling
frame, where in each element has an equal chance or probability of being chose as

subject of the study.

Research Instrument/Instrumentation

The instrument used consisted on the following:

Questionnaire- The questionnaire was converted to gather data regarding to the profile

of the victims in bullying. It was a check-response type to facilitate convenience in

answering the questions. It consisted of two important parts, the profile and the

problems met by the respondents.

Data Gathering Procedures

To conduct the study and analyze the data, the researchers did the following:

Create the questionnaire and then disseminate it to your target subjects.

Writing a letter of permission to the principal

Data gathering/ collecting data via Interview

Analyzing of data

Interpretation of the data by the use of research question

Presenting the results using graphs with an accurate interpretation regarding the most

important findings.
