The Siddhas are a class of Celestials well known for the eight mystic powers acquired by
them. The Vastu science (Sastra) owes its greatness and its increasing popularity to the
Siddhas for bringing prosperity and fortune to people following the principles of Vastu
Sastra. The very science (Vastu science) itself a blessing in disguise designed for the noble
cause of ensuring prosperity and welfare to the world at large. Much to the interest of the

The Supreme Preceptor of the Universe, Sre Kagabujandar (Sre Kakabusundi) in his treatise
''Sre Kagabujandar (Sre Kakabusundi) Manai Latchanamirtham-7000'' which was written on
palm leaves has advised his disciple Sre Gorakkar on the powerful dual role of the Vastu
Science in (a) rectifying the Vastu defects found (present) in the building (b) assuring
immense prosperity and fortune. Three paths have been prescribed in the treatise to serve
its (Vastu Science) purpose. These paths are methods (as prescribed in the treatise) involve
the use of (1) rare herbs (2) herbal chakra's (3) solidified Divine mercury's. Each of the
methods stated above are unique in their own way since each of them offers benefits which
men desire.

(1) SIDDHA'S HERBAL METHOD

By growing rare herbs (known to the Siddhas) in the premises where the building is
constructed, the powers of the planets which are subdivisions of the five natural elements
(powers) are made to concentrate on the building and thus enable them (powers) to bestow
all kinds or forms of wealth and prosperity and enriches the lives of the residents. In
accordance with the laws laid down by Destiny for each individual, the first method ensures
fifty percent benefits (fortune and prosperity). Each planet has 1008 live herbs to its credit.
The Divine treatise contains the details of these (1008 herbs) live herbs. For the sake of
convenience or to serve our purpose let us look into the details of nine kinds of live herbs
(which serve as excellent models of herbs).
Ravivirutcham, Sankaravirutcham, Alarivembu, Andavirutcham, Vengaikkarani,
Devaruthravirutcham, Vellerukku, Sennaval and Sooriyabaanam are the rare herbs apt for
the planet Sun.

Venvembu, Sundarikarpam, Naathavirutcham, Vellavuri, Thurgaikkarani, Vennaval,

Venvembu, Venpungan and Venmurukku are the rare herbs apt for the planet Moon.

Saththiyakaranai, Velvirutcham, Kasthoorivirutcham, Sevvavuri, Gnaanakkarani,

Magaavilvam, Semmaavirutcham, Karungaalivirutcham and Senbagavirutcham are the rare
herbs apt for the planet Mars.

among the other methods prescribed in the treatise. By adopting this third method the
powers of the planets which are subdivisions of the five natural elements (powers) are made
