1. Chakra path Haran

This adjustment is applied on the planets placed in between seventh and twelfth House from lagna ie when located
in visible half of the horoscope. The loss of ayu suffered is dependent on the house, planet is benefic or malefic.

Notes
1. When there are more than one planet in any house then only the strongest suffers the loss. The strength of
planet is decided by Shadbala. For quick analysis we take the most advanced planet as the strongest.
2. Rahu and Ketu are not considered. If only Rahu or Ketu are with any planet, that planet will be considered.
3. The benefics are Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter
4. The malefics are Sun, Mars Saturn.
5. The loss is the proportion of the gross age contributed by the planet.
In Indira Gandhi’s chart:
Moon is benefic and placed in 7H so 1/12th is lost (16.85 x 1/12= 1.404)
Correction would be 1.404 years
So after Chakra Path Haran, contribution by Moon = (16.85-1.404=) 15.446 yrs
Jupiter is placed in 11 H 12.92 years
So, correction 3.23 years ( 12.92 x ¼=3.23)
Contribution of Jupiter after correction is 9.69 Yrs

2. Astangat Haran
A combust planet loses half of his contribution obtained after chakra path haran.
The following are the degrees of combustion of planets
Moon 12 degree
Mars 17 degree
Mercury (Direct) 14 degree
Mercury (Retrograde) 12 degree
Jupiter 11 degree
Venus (Direct) 10 degree
Venus (Retrograde) 8 degree
Saturn 15 degree
Saturn and Venus are exempted from Astangat Haran.
Mercury is combust and lost ½ of 10.06 = 5.03. Therefore contribution of Mercury is 10.06- 5.03 = 5.03 yrs.

3. Shatru Kshetra Haran

If a planet is placed in his inimical Rashi, then after Astangat Haran, a further 1/3 reduc-
tion is done.
Exception to this this Haran:
1. Retrograde planets. 2. Mars in Capricorn,
Jupiter in inimical sign but is retrograde therefore no haran.
Saturn is in inimical sign therefore loses 1 /3 rd of 15.09 yrs. Or 5.03 years , so
gets=1 0.06 yrs
Total 74.6585 yrs before Krurodaya Haran

4. Krurodaya Haran
Saturn Mars or Sun are placed in lagna, then Krurodaya Haran is carried out.
i. Convert the lagna degrees (minus the Rashi) into minutes.
il. Multiply these minutes with the age provided by all planets, after shatru kshetra haran.
iii. Divide the figure in step ii by 21,600.
