Screening at Airport
• China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, S. Korea, Japan, Nepal,
Indonesia, Vietnam , Malaysia, Iran and Italy are informed as Covid-
19 affected countries
• 69,180 travelers from affected countries screened at airport using
thermal scanning
• 75 symptomatic patients admitted in Kasturba hospital. 64 suspects
declared negative
• 557 travelers are under 14 days follow up
• Announcements being done during flights, to avoid visiting crowded
places & use mask

EPID CELL Control Room
• Coordinating for reports with State Government
• Coordination for 14 days follow up of travelers between Airport
Authority and Ward Offices
• Coordination with PCR Laboratory and Kasturba hospital

IEC – Information, Education, Communication
• Extensive IEC for general public
• not to panic
• the infection spreads rapidly but can be controlled by following dos and don’ts
for prevention of Covid-19

Simple Do’s
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
• Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
• Clean surfaces with antiseptic solutions such as Lysol containing
hydrogen peroxide or benzalkonium chloride
• Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms like cough, cold
• Cook your food and especially meat/ poultry properly
• If you have fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, report to
Kasturba hospital immediately for check up
• Health Care Workers should use personal protective equipment like
gloves and masks

Don’ts
• Don’t visit crowded places like malls, markets, cinema theatres
• Wear protective masks in such conditions
• Don’t touch your face with unwashed hands
• Avoid close contact with a person having cold or flu-like symptoms
• Avoid direct contact with animals and surfaces in contact with
animals when visiting live Stock
• Do not consume uncooked and raw meat
