Measure
BEGINNING to find the size, weight, amount, or speed of something.
I have measured all the windows.
Write on the board: what is time? And give students few minutes to answer the
questions. Get feedback.
WARM UP
Tell students that using units of time we can measure the existent of events:
Seconds. Minutes. Hours. Week. Month. Years. Decade. Century.
Ask students, how would the world be in 100 year? Monitor around and get
feedback.

Write at, on, and in and explain they are prepositions of time.


PRESENTATION

Next, write three example sentences on the board with the preposition of time
missing, and ask students to guess whether it should be at, on, or in.

1. The bar opens on Saturday and Sunday.


2. I met my wife in 2017.
3. She has breakfast at 8:00 a.m.

Once students have guessed, let them know the correct answer. Then, ask them
to try to identify the ways in which the three sentences are different.
