the poem was discovered in Madrid, but there wasn’t an indication whether Bonifacio actually
wrote it. There’s speculation that Emilio Jacinto were the one who actually wrote it, because in the
original text that was discovered in Madrid it was his hand writing that have matched in the text. But it is
said that Jacinto may be the one who wrote it but it is Bonifacio who come up with it. The speculation
Bonifacio didn’t write it, it’s because he is busy preparing for the revolution.

The poems consist of 12 syllables per line, 4 line each stanza, and it has 12, stanza.

The poem is all about patriotism.

How can you fight for something you are not devoted with.
It’s also to persuade Filipino to fight for their country.
