Abstract. Bioactivity of white Turi (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Pers.) has been described, but mostly related to its essential
oil, while studies with aqueous extracts are still rare. This study aims to compare the antioxidant activity, total flavonoids,
and total phenolics of infusion and decoction of white Turi leaves extracts. Infusion and decocttion methods are safe
methods because the solvent used is water and there is no adverse safety. White Turi leaf simplicia was obtained from
Mojosari, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. The extract results were tested by TLC and continued with antioxidant activity
test using DPPH method, total flavonoid test using quercetin method and total phenolic test using gallic acid method using
UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The data obtained were processed with statistical test using an independent sample t test. The
TLC test results for the extraction of infusion and decoction of white Turi leaves obtained an Rf value of 1, which is thought
to be a tannin compound. The antioxidant activity test of Turi leaves infusion and decoction extracts obtained IC50 values
of 13.65 ppm and 19.60 ppm which were included in the very strong category, for ascorbic acid of 6.85 ppm. The total
flavonoids content in the infusion and decoction extracts were 416.84 mg QE/g extract and 369.47 mg QE/g extract, while
the total phenolics content were 299.34 mg GAE/g extract for the infusion extract and 211.64 mg GAE/g extract for the
decoction extract. The results of the independent sample t test on antioxidant activity, total flavonoids, and total phenolic
content of infusion and decoction Turi leaves extracts obtained p = 0.000 (> 0.05) had a significant difference.
