Sounds interesting. Its refreshing to see a second chance story where the mc
doesn't primarily go for revenge.

The summary gives me hope that this isn't your typical OP transmigration/rebirth
type with very blatant face slapping and meteoric rise in cultivation/stats. I have
a feeling that the person whose tragedy the MC is working to prevent is the ML?
Maybe it was something like, they were arranged to be married and she found out
that he loved her and sacrificed himself for her, but it was too late because
tragedy had already struck and she can only regret. But now she has a second chance
to change their fates :blobhero:!? I love that type of plot :blobmelt: ... I don't
even know if that's the legit plot... :blobxd:

Not sure, based on the translated chapters I really thought that Luc Luan would be
the lead. Afterall she did say he used to tease her and treat her bad but that was
all only on the surface?

I tried to MTL this novel and because things are going pretty slow I skipped a lot
of things.

ML is MC's husband in previous life. I'm not sure whether ML is also reborn like MC
or not. The narratives sounds like he is, but I'm not really sure. Anyway the Lin
(MC) and Lu (ML) have marriage contracts for several generations, so this
generation it fell to Lu Jian (ML). MC tried countless ways to avoid the marriage
and almost succeeded; the eldest of her twin cousin Lin 6th almost got engaged to
Lu Jian. But because her mother Luo-shi is a greedy and scheming person she went
out of favor from Lu Patriarch (ML's grandpa). So MC was still chosen to marry ML.
MC made a fuss about it, even cried to her mother and had spoken to her grandfather
of her unwillingness to marry ML. ML was actually happy when he got to know that
he's marrying MC. But hearing MC rejected him made him sad and broken-hearted that
he even cried about it. He knows that MC hates him and feels guilty to her (MC told
him outright about her hatred to him after several times meeting. I dunno if
there's any other confrontation between them cuz I skipped chapters). In the end MC
had to be persuaded by the family and she agreed but marriage need to be postponed
for 2 years first (In the previous life they married soon after their engagement).
In the mean time, ML had to curry favor with MC (e.g. letting her little brother
learn from his teacher, show his care to her mother, etc.) so she would like him.

Honestly speaking, I'm also wondering whether ML loved MC in the previous life.
Sadly, there's no POV or extra about that even after the story ends, so we will
never know. However, MC was able to live a better life and she got a better social
life this time because of her cautiousness. I actually like the premise that not
all returning to time stories need to have heavy revenge. Of course, some deaths
are inevitable, but MC never did any vicious revenge nor she killed people. Her
revenge is just letting others punish people for her and ignore all else. The main
reason MC hates ML was because he only cares about his biological family and left
her to die at the temple, and this life around, ML learns to care about the family
as a whole, but his wife and son are the most important.

Overall of the story? MC dabbles in business and opened a lot of stores. ML became
a 5th(?) rank official in the capital, but returns once Lu Patriarch got sick. The
bandit siege still comes, but the whole family was able to escape together.

Finally a MC who doesn't seek revenge. I'm so tired of all the
rebirth/transmigration ladies feeling it's alright to murder people coldbloodedly
for breathing the wrong way.

I agree. Sometimes, getting a revenge is not necessarily a good thing, especially
if it didn't happen yet. MC is really smart. Although she couldn't evade the things
in the past completely, she managed to change a little bit of the past and live a
better life this time.

Because she was gentle and soft, I actually felt much more sad about her past life
and her son's death than when I read about other rebirth novels. She was really
traumatized by the loss of her son that she even drink medicine to prevent herself
from getting pregnant for a while until she stopped because the medicine is ruining
her body. Then after she gave birth, a few times she was reminded of her dead son
in previous life and kept comparing with her current son because of how different
they are despite being born from the same parents. You can feel her trying to move
on but still missing her son in the previous life.

That's really sad because in other rebirth novels after the misunderstandings and
acts of revenge they have a child and live happily ever after but this MC clearly
is more human and the novel itself is quite realistic. Honestly, if there wasn't
any revenge extracted to future schemes in rebirth novels, it'd be better because
it can build the feelings of pity and sympathy.

The common rebirth novels are mostly about revenge, face slapping and romance.
After the `1-2 minute satisfaction of face slapping, what else can we remember when
we think about the novel. I'm still not over "Cynical Orange" it has a major
character death which is really really really really really really really sad. I
cried for a long time. The character themselves are very realistic. They use each
other very well. One uses another.

The character death was like an eye-opener to all of them.

What happened?
The translator made it private. So we need to have a WordPress.com account. Once
we've created an account, log in and request an invite from the translator to read
her page.

Anyone able to add more info about this novel. I'm trying to mtl this and it
confuses me.

- Anyone else know anything more about why ML treated MC like that in previous
life?
- When do their feelings change for each other (at what chapters?)

I am really struggling to mtl this so maybe I should just concentrate on the

important chapters for now if anyone has any guidance. Thx.

I just started this and I just don't know how to forgive ML and his family at this
point.
