Frugal Innovate
Frugal Innovate
Focus has been put on developing a business model around frugal creativity to achieve
sustainable growth is a viable path to succeeding in developing countries. Business models
explain how frugal innovations suggest, produce, and collect demand. Still, with far-reaching
aims, business models that incorporate sustainability will deliver value to consumers and
the larger society. In terms of their goods and business models, frugal technologies vary
significantly from traditional developments, and prior study suggests that they demonstrate
potential for sustainable development. It has been deduced that developing countries are
fertile grounds for frugal engineering and sustainable growth, but frugal inventions such as
Tata's Nano, GE's MAC 400 ECG computer, Narayana's heart surgery, and Aravind Eye
Hospitals' cataract surgery are both big and small.
Importance of frugal creativity has been emphasized to produce and catch values with novel
proposals that hit clients in remote regions. The research shows that there is a shortage of
research in developed countries on frugal innovation and its related market structures,
concentrating on frugal innovation and SBM separately. However, researching them
together will offer valuable insights into learning how low-income consumers in developed
countries can be served sustainably. The study done in this paper aims to explore how frugal
technologies evolve with innovative business models in low-income countries and lead to
sustainable growth. This research makes three key contributions, using three instances of
frugal creativity in India:
Three Frugal Innovation cases at the grassroots level were considered in this studyAll three
examples, namely Jayashree Industries, MittiCool, and Ksheera Enterprise, come from India.
In Tamil Nadu, India, Jayashree Industries is based. It manufactures devices for producing
women's sanitary pads. MittiCool is situated in the state of Gujarat, India, and manufactures
various pottery products, including a clay refrigerator. Operating from Karnataka, India,
Ksheera Enterprise manufactures low-cost milking machines.
In the paper, abduction logic has been applied for the purpose of data analysisThe study of
data involved an iterative method of moving back and forth between the literature and the
data, helping us to investigate the phenomenon of Frugal Creativity.
