FLAME-PROOF AND WEATHER-PROOF DISTRIBUTION BAORD:

This power distribution board is intended for distribution of power to various loads in
the hazardous areas of Oil & Gas Installation. Hence, the whole panel or various electrical
components (i.e. Explosion proof enclosures, Ex-d plugs & receptacles, Ex-d junction boxes,
switches etc.) shall be suitable for Zone1/Zone2 hazardous areas in compliances with IS/IEC
60079 standards and have requisite certificates for the same.
The panel outer body shall be made of pressed sheet steel having minimum thickness of 2mm
with rubber gasket at all joints and openings including doors. All bolted joints shall be
provided with toothed/spring washers to ensure good earth continuity.
Distribution panel protection: Ex-d type, Zone 1/2, Gas Gr. IIA & IIB as per IS/IEC
60079-1:2007 & IS/IEC 60079-0:2004.
The degree of protection provided by the enclosure shall be in accordance with IS 2147 and
minimum IP65 AS PER IS/IEC 60529:2001.
Voltage level: 230VAC 3-phase 50HZ system without neutral. The Incomer shall be fed
from Lighting Transformer (230V Ph-Ph, 110V Ph-N).
63 Amps Ex-d Main switch: There shall be one 63Amps 3-Pole MCCB/Isolator for purpose
of panel On-Off operation. The Main switch shall be placed inside Ex-d enclosure. ON-OFF
switch handle shall be there in Explosion proof type enclosure.
63 Amps Incomer RCCB: There shall be one 3-pole 63 Ampere RCCB unit having 100mA
leakage protection within Ex-d Type Enclosure. There shall be switch on front fascia of Ex-d
enclosure for On-Off operation of incomer RCCB.
16 Amps Outgoing Circuits: A total of 12 nos. outgoing circuits (230V Ph-Ph) shall be
there having rating of 16 Ampere. Outgoing feeders shall be fed from 2-pole 16A RCCB with
30mA leakage protection. The 12 nos. RCCBs shall be placed with in Ex-d type enclosure.
There shall be switches on front fascia of Ex-d enclosure for On-Off operation of individual
RCCBs.
Ex-d type Plug-Sockets: A total of 12 nos. 16A Ex-d type Plug-Sockets with built-in switch
shall be provided for individual outgoing circuits.
Ex-d Double compression glands: All Ex-d Enclosures, FLP Plugs, Switch sockets shall use
Ex-d Double compression glands.
Certificates: The Distribution panel/ or individual components shall be suitable for use in
Zone1/Zone2, Gas Group IIA/ IIB hazardous areas in compliances with IS/IEC 60079.
The equipment shall be certified from IEC/ATEX notified body/NABL accredited laboratory
or Govt. of India approved laboratory.
