Sequential logic is a logic circuit that operates in sequence this kind of logic
circuit has a memory to store and hold the output state which will remain even when we
remove its input the output will stay at whatever state they were previously. This device
has two output which can be either be high on low depending on the input. This logic
circuit is unique input system which is set reset and no change. Unlike the combination
logic which is dependent on the input and will change its output when the input is
remove logic gates in the combination circuit has only one output and does not have the
ability to store its output state. In terms of truth table combination logic is much easier to
read than the sequential logic because combination logic shows the input in each and
every logic gate and its output unlike the sequential which only show the output of Q
and Q not and some includes the direction of chevron to show what will be the output of
the logic circuit depending on what type of sequential circuit that will be use.

Flip flops can be use as a frequency counter, frequency dividers it is also use in a
digital clock and washing machine in laundry shop which need a flip flop logic operation.
Flip flop can be also use as data storage, data transfer, latch, registers, counters, and
memory. The importance of this is that we can use flip flop to control any electronic
device with various frequency and flip flops can also be used to store memory.

Asynchronous counter is counter which the succeeding flip flop is dependent to

the output of the preceding flip flop the output of the preceding flip flop is connected to
the to the clock of the succeeding flip flop hence this flip flop does not change state at
the same time that is why it is also called as a ripple counter. On the other hand,
synchronous counter is a counter which operates simultaneously which mean its will
have an output with the other counters at the same time because its clock is connected
with each other meaning every each clock that is in the circuit will have the same input.
