1. ADJECTIVES:

What are the?

An adjective is a word that accompanies and modifies the name. You can
enlarge, complement or quantify its size. They are words that name or
indicate qualities, traits and properties of the names or nouns that
accompany them.

What do we use them for?

they are used to describe, complement or quantify the name in the


sentence.

Which role do the Play in a sentence?

It fulfills the function of specifying or highlighting some of its characteristics.

Share some examples:

 the tall man(el hombre alto) 


 a happy child(un niño contento) 
 a dark street(una calle oscura) 
 a Spanish woman(una mujer española) 
 the red ball(la pelota roja) 
 a cold winter(un invierno frío) 
 the glass table(la mesa de vidrio).
2. COMPARATIVES:

What are the?

To establish a comparison between one thing and another, we use


comparative adjectives / comparative adjectives.

What do we use them for?

The comparative is used in English to compare differences between the two


objects that it modifies (bigger, smaller, faster, taller).

Which role do the Play in a sentence?

It is used in sentences where we compare two names, as follows:

Name (subject) + verb + adjective in comparative degree + that + name


(object).

Share some examples:

 My house is larger than hers.

 This box is smaller than the one I lost.

 Your dog runs faster than Jim's dog.

 The rock flew higher than the roof.


3. SUPERLATIVES:

Wha are the?

An adjective in superlative degree indicates that the subject possesses the


quality in the highest degree and above all others.

What do we use them for?

The superlative is used to describe an object that is at the highest or lowest


end of a quality (the tallest, the smallest, the fastest, the highest).

Which role do the Play in sentence?

It is used in sentences in which we compare a subject with a group of


objects, like here:

Name (subject) + verb + the + adjective in superlative degree + noun


(object).

Share some examples:

 My house is the largest one in our neighborhood.


 This is the smallest box I've ever seen.
 Your dog ran the fastest of any dog in the race.

4. Make a comparative chart in which you show adjectives in their normal


form, their comparative form and their superlative form. ( AT LEAST
25 EXAMPLES).
