Lab safety is all about being aware of your surroundings as well as

cultivating a specific skill set that is used to keep you, your peers, and the lab
safe(The Importance of Lab Safety – In School and Career, 2015). Knowing the
fundamental lab safety is important since our subject is exposed to conducting various
kinds of experiments, but, what do we comprehend with regards to lab safety? In the
video, Dr. Anna Karen Laserna of De La Salle University explains the more profound
context of lab safety and various types of hazards that we might encounter while
conducting experiments.

While watching the video, I feel engaged since the speaker is

exceptionally engaging yet informative. I enjoyed the video and amaze concerning
how educational it is regardless of the short allotted amount of time distributed in
explaining it. The speaker is extremely empathetic about her work and I aspire to be
like her sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Many laboratories contain significant risks, and the prevention of

laboratory accidents requires great care and constant vigilance (J Donald Cossairt &
Quinn, 2019). Lab safety is fundamental for us med tech students to learn since our
profession is generally exposed in laboratories. I took in numerous things in the video
about a hazard, risk management, lab safety, etc. Presently I have a sense of security
since I know what to do and what not to do in laboratories.

Mistakes and accidents are inevitable. That is why it is important to know

what you need to do so that we can eschew errors. Presently I comprehend the
significance of lab safety and what to do at whatever point hazardous occasions occur.
