CHAPTER WORKOUT NO.1
UNIT 1: The Self from Various Perspectives
WEEK NO. 1

PART 2: APPLICATION

Recall conversations you have had with your parents, teachers, or friends which
contain their own personal philosophy about self, or about something specific. Does it
have a purpose and/or a method? If so, what is it? If not, what is it about, and what do
you think it means?

Now, as clearly as you can, try to articulate your own motto, or maybe a guiding
principle or ideal that you have in or about self. You might have already one— maybe
you have been saying it in conversations with friends or on social media. If not, think out
what beliefs you have about self and try to phrase one of these. You may base your
ideas and explanation coming from the topic discussed.
